Hard to really predict what could happen on Sunday, we are capable of winning this but in the back of my mind there is definitely the feeling that we could lose badly if we don't start well. I personally rate Silva as possibly the best player in the Pl but when he plays City tend to play Yaya behind him which definitely makes them susceptible defensively. I assume now Pellegrini will probably push Yaya forward and play both Fernando +Fernandinho which will make them much more solid. The good thing about playing City though is that unlike Chelsea they always look to attack which should help people like Di Maria on the counter

Opta stats gives 56% wins for City…. Don’t forget guyz that we didn’t won an away game this season, that we’re not playing very well, that we are conceding too many sloppy goals with a poor defense and especially that City won the last 3 derbies as they seems always more motivated to play and beat us.

I’m not really confident for this derby as I would definitely take a draw

The closer the match gets the more confident I'm feeling about our chances. I think there's a real opportunity here to beat them and we'd gain so much momentum from doing so, it would really set us up for the rest of the season.

I'd definitely start Fellaini, he's been good the last two games and it would be silly to drop him when it looks like he's finally hitting some form. I reckon it'll be the same as the team against Chelsea but with Rooney in for Mata and Herrera in for Januzaj.

So how many will Aguero score on Sunday? 2 or 3 for me, most probably the former.

@Señor Not to be mean but your always fecking moaning.
Am I? I blame it on Moyes. Before him, I actually talked to people and smiled once in a while. Now I hardly, if ever, leave the house, just staring out my window shouting obscenities at anyone who walks past. In fact, one of those obscenities is "ye fecking Moyes!".

Not sure what games you have been watching mate but this isn't true. Fellaini under any sort of pressure with the ball at his feet either ends up with the ball going out of play or possession lost. Unless of course the ball is played to his chest. But that's a different ball game.

And all this talk about Fabregas being nullified. Please. How many tackles did he actually put in on him? All he really did was follow him around. Are we saying that Fellaini is the only player in our squad capable of running around after an opposition player?
I am not a big Fellaini fan nor a big critic. I am just conveying the impression that he gave me in the Chelsea match. That he was one of our best players on the pitch. He ran more than anyone and this time it was not aimless. He was not bullied away or lost possession in "these 2 matches" and he got the all important header for our goal. Form or not, he is the player with the highest confidence right now I suppose. I actually felt he was quite good in the past 2 matches not just decent. But again, that is my opinion.

Assuming players are available, I would like to see:

De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw; Fellaini, Blind, Di Maria; Herrera; Rooney, Falcao.

However, I think the team will be:

De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw; Blind, Fellaini, Rooney; Januzaj, Van Persie, Di Maria.

My team would be this. 442 diamond

    Degea

    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw

    Carrick

    Herrera Blind
    Rooney

    Di maria Persie

Harsh on fellaini. But I think herrera is our best midfielder, blind has been consistently good, and I think city will start yaya toure behind aguero, so we need someone in that defensive midfield role who can deal with him physically (because blind won't be able to) and also pass the ball well (fellani is meh at doing this) and that's michael carrick.

I think di maria is by far our best attacking player, and therefore shouldn't need to do much defensively. So I would put him as far up the pitch as possible and make him play the roll robben played in the World Cup.

I hate city and I think there fans are obsessed, bitter and delusional and I hope we smash them. This team is better than the team that lost 4-1 and I'm always confident we will score a goal. But I don't see anyone in our defence stopping aguero from scoring and I don't do prediction. So I ain't got a clue what's going to happen on sunday

I probably shouldn't be confident at all coming into this fixture but like a fair few others I can't seem to shake off the feeling that we'll win this one. Logic should dictate otherwise but it's 2-1 United for me.

Falcao hasn't had much match time for us recently, so I don't think we'll miss him as much as when he's fit and firing. RvP and Rooney will do the job on Sunday.

Can't see Carrick walking into such a high profile game with no playing minutes this season. Maybe a sub that comes on later to protect our 3-0 lead:wenger:. I also, think TV will get a nod over Adnan. So, he will have to make a decision about Herrera and Fellani. As it will be physical, I reckon he will give Herrera a day off to continue his recovery.

Anyone can name all the seven players injured? I know there's Falcao, Jones, Evans and Lingard but who is the other 3?

Opta stats gives 56% wins for City….
    So its fairly even...statistically.

that we’re not playing very well,
    Say's who? 4 games unbeaten.
And even even Mourinho (manager of this year's best team) agreed that this team played fantastically and yet could only manage a draw against us.

that we are conceding too many sloppy goals with a poor defense
Yep. And we're scoring them too. When we were at our very best, we were not a defensive team. We were an attacking team.
    You score 1...we score 2.
    You score 2...we score 3.
Check out Juventus. 1999. In Turin. Thats the epitome of an attacking team.

and especially that City won the last 3 derbies as they seems always more motivated to play and beat us.
But the last 2 derbies were with Moyes. The king of negativity.
Last year taught us that if we the supporters are negative, it creates further negativity, which actually effects the play on the pitch.
Keep positive. We have a top class manager who knows how to win leagues. We also have top class players (despite what some naysayers will have you believe).

Don’t forget guyz that we didn’t won an away game this season,
I'll give you that one - lets see if this is true after Sunday's game.

I'm feeling pretty good about our chances going into this one. RvP has broken his mini slump, Roo is rested and ready, Smalling and Rojo will be playing their second match together. Silva being out is a big plus for United, but we're still dealing with the reigning prem champions, albeit one which has been wobbly as of late.

    City 1, United 2
