I don't see how Castles being ABU has any relevance in this case. Would the numbers be different if he wasn't?

He always posts things are try to paint United in the poor light.

And like I said, the numbers aren't particularly valid due to how much transfer fees and wages have changed even in just the last few years. You could say that SAF spent more on Berbatov alone than Ron Atkinson spent in his entire time as a United manager.

I mean, if a young Rio or Rooney were available today, you think they'd still be under 30 million quid? When players like Lallana go for the round about there.

Good.. though if one club can worm there way around something it's them. Expect this to happen tomorrow.

This. It's a stupid stat. Not sure why he isn't on the band list tbh.

His tweet is rendered superfluous & antagonistic because of the widely-accepted fact that we've had to supplement known problematic areas and also replace departing players. Castles, remember, is the journalist who used to tweet tantalising 'big news', obliging the reader to access DC's website in order to learn of Castles' frequently underwhelming revelations. I suspect that he's 'doing a Stanger' (i.e. raising his profile via incendiary United 'news' in the manner of Moyes' bête noir Matt Stanger of Football365).

I can't believe we've got rid of Shinji ahead of dross like Young, Valencia etc....

Who in their right minds would bid for either? Not too hard to understand. Fellaini and those two will be expensive league cup players next season.

Ffs, Steve, could you not just say he's a cnut like a normal person would? My brain hurts after reading all those big words.

Yes? 1m pound 10 years ago = 1.3m in today market, player's price tag is also inflated alot. Nothing wrong with the numbers but it's misleading and Ducan knows it. That's the point

I thought the story was that LVG didn't ask anybody to leave, he just told them his plans and asked them to make their own mind up. Kagawa had clearly had enough and has gone.

Sorry, chief. Console yourself with the fact that I am a boring gonk, whereas you have an excellent username which reminds us of the Pink Panther theme.

Which numbers are they, again ? The numbers which include an era of around fifteen years where you could get players like Ole for around a million, Keane and Cantona combined for less than five million ?

You guys are way too touchy.

I can feel this thread is going to be on fire tomorrow.

Dunno why he deleted it before but anyway:

Good winger, better than Townsend who they wanted before.

Makes sense, Mane refused to travel to Malmo for Salzburg's Champions League qualifier this week (he left training early and was nowhere to be found afterwards), seemingly trying to force his way out of the club. He'd be an excellent addition as well, cracking pace, good shot, very good dribbler, though his diving antics are Youngesque.

Bayern will probably sign hummells and reus next summer
If I were a Dortmund fan I would fecking hate them, soon that league will be more boring than the SPL since Rangers got relegated.

In the case of Reus; if he goes to Bayern Munich, then that's what happenes when your players have generous release clauses. Hummels; didn't he come from Bayern? Why would he go back?

Hummels joined Dortmund from Bayern Munich and Reus rejected them once already. Can't see any of them joining Bayern really. If they leave, it'll be for a move abroad.
