Day 18: Germany vs. Algeria

Same here... we're playing dull shit yet again, with no game plan anywhere in sight and a chaotic defense. Great surprise... at least we "dominate" possession.

You sound like der Kaiser talking about Bayern. Pity Robben ain't German. There's nobody in this side who can change the pace without Reus.

after watchin the first minutes, asking again:

anyone who says löws concept with 4 CB is genius?

rofl if they fail with this "wannabe coach"

Would be poetic justice if they knocked them out after that Germany vs Austria affair

Germany are playing too slow, not enough pace.

Algerians won't be able to keep up this level of intensity in the second half. They need to make it count here and score. Germans will pick them apart in the end anyhow

Serves them right.

Looking good in the 1st 15 minutes only for ze germans to destroy you in the next 75.

What has happened to Götze´s ball control? Seriously...

We played such exciting, direct, not-possesion-based football against Portugal. Clearly, that went far too well for Löw.

For all the big talk about the Germans, have they actually proved to be anything but flat track bullies?

Is it just me or has Germany's midfield 3 been very poor?

You just know Germany are gonna nick a goal now and then go on to romp it. Algeria needed to take one of their chances when they had them.

Clearly Portugal made Germany look better than they are. Pen + sending off helped.

So are the Algerians fasting after all? They seem pretty fresh to me.

I just hope Algeria aren't expending all of their energy too quickly. Their intensity in pressing has been insane.

No one can say that he had one genial idea in his career.

I am not sure why teams are still using possession play style when it's been show pacey, direct football is superior.

Their Imam allowed them to ignore the fast for the tournament. It's up to them if they still want to fast or not, but I think most of them don't.

Because Pep Guardiola.

People think he's the second coming.

To think that we have two FBs with great seasons on the bench waiting for Löw to throw them a bone. Unbelievable.
