Day 18: Germany vs. Algeria

Germans getting schooled

Algeria looking great but you can't miss this many chances, Germany will probably get one chance and score it.

The Germany play like Spain i don't like it.

Even though I expect Germany and Argentina to go though it will be the most open WC I can recall

It will be so difficult to call a winner from the final 8

Can't expect a Vauxhall to turn into a Ferrari over night. Löw should change his game...

He won´t, which is why I have to hope for the players to step up their game.

I want this team to do well and actually for Löw to prove me wrong. So far, this is exactly how I expected it to be.

Is there a reasonable explanation about Low choices with Howedes and Mustafi?Germany has such a talented squad, why on earth he would he try alchemies?

Not to mention Lahm in the midfield,is he affected by Guardiola?

Amazing stuff.

They can't handle the speed, but if they dont take there chances they will be punished for it.

Same here... we're playing dull shit yet again, with no game plan anywhere in sight and a chaotic defense. Great surprise... at least we "dominate" possession.

Algeria clearly exploiting Germany's lack of pace at the back. Germany need to improve.

Algerians won't be able to keep up this level of intensity in the second half. They need to make it count here and score. Germans will pick them apart in the end anyhow

So... Lahm in midfield, eh? Working out great yet again.

Germany are playing like a poor mans Spain. Doesn't help that their "fullbacks" are useless both going forward and so far defensively.
