Big game bottler. Every time, no point in hyping him up because he always lets you down. Overrated as feck.

Had two great chances to score and kept fecking up Inter's free-kicks.

Obviously a talented player, but every time I've seen him play live he's been far from the 'best player in the world' the Italian media have been overhyping him to be. I'd rather have the likes of Rooney, Tevez, Torres and Adebayor ahead of him, that's for sure.

whenever I watch Zlatan I keep thinking he should use his physique better, he´s very big and strong but usually tries to be a graceful player instead of using his strength to overpower defenders. Obviously he´s a very classy player but you can´t be classy all the time, sometimes you have to get gritty and he doesn´t do that enough even though he has everything required. He´s hardly soft.

what's so funny?

he's been arguably their best player this season and a major reason why they're ahead of us in the league, and he's helped his team qualify for the quarterfinals after beating the Eurpean champions, Ibra on the other hand, well, just read the comments in this thread...

For your information btw, Adebayor has scored 19 league goals this season, that's 4 more than Rooney and Tevez combined. or is that what you're laughing at?

Adebayor was a poor striker just a season ago. He was outshined by Henry and he didn't delive until this year. I'm not gonna compare Rooney or Tevez to that gunner because he has scored 19 league goals. Rooney hasn't been in a good form this year, especially in the finishing area and Tevez has only been playing with us for like 6 months.
Moreover, he is not the kind of player with that touch of class that Zlatan has, and he is not as phenomenal as Torres. He is just an average player who happens to be in the zenith of his career, i expect him to peak by next season .

I hope you guys realise that Zlatans team had a player sent off in each of these games. I still think he did alright. He sure could have contributed more today, but I wonder how you would judge Rooney or Ronaldo under similar circumstances.

The last time we had a player sent off in Europe? How did that work out for Rooney :p

outshined by Henry? lol, he's the reason why Wenger let Henry leave and the reason why they've been in the title race despite Van Persie being out for so long!

If he's an average player, how could he score 4 more than Rooney and Tevez combined in the league?

yeah, he'll peak next season at only 24-25

Yeah, and he is the reason why Wenger will bring on Walcott very soon.
For me, he is just a Cissé-kind of player, has his good moments but not great.
I explained why he has more goals than Wayna and Tevez combined...

you've explained yourself splendidly, that's for sure

Adebayor :

Year Team Country Games Goals

01-02 Metz France 10 2
02-03 Metz France 34 13
03-04 Monaco France 31 8
04-05 Monaco France 34 9
05-06(jan)Monaco France 13 1
05-06 Arsenal England 13 4
06-07 Arsenal England 29 8

Brilliant ! :lol::lol: What a goalscorer !

What ? Do you expect him to last as long as Henry ?:lol:

Don't know why you are laughing...

The only thing that is funny is that you think Walcott is going to replace him 'very soon'.

I don't know how long Adebayor well last, but to say that Walcott is even close to a level needed to replace him is the only thing to laugh at here...

Brilliant ! :lol::lol: What a goalscorer !

excluding the 13 games he played for Monaco prior to joinging Arsenal, that looks about 1 goal in 3/4 games, which isn't bad in a defensive league such as France...

Rooney scored 15 in 67 games for Everton, by your logic, that must be "Brilliant!:lol: What a goalscorer!"

must be amazing he's scored more than both Rooney and Tevez combined in the league eh?

I am sure Henry being at Arsenal had no affect on Adebayor.

Exactly...just like how poor Ronaldo, and in reality United in general, was after Ruud left...

nah, Ronaldo's average, he's just scoring goals because he's so lucky and the other players are in poor form, he'll peak next season and will be replaced by Eagles very soon...

This is quite true. I dont' think there is too much difference between him and Torres, infact I think he has even better technique, but Torres is the better footballer becuase he knows how to use his physique, speed, and dribbling. Zlatan just looks clueless when up against physical defenders in a crunch game.

Rooney isnt performing decent for the last 2 years , kill me i dont give a shit but Rooney is also overrated!!!!

I love how people watch Ibrahimovic once or twice a season and come to the conclusion that he's shit

Inter get screwed by a referee in both games, if they didn't have two wrongful sendings off then liverpool wouldn't have progressed. Simple as that. Yeah Zlatan missed a couple of chances you would want him to stick away. So did Cruz, Stankovic etc from Zlatan setting them up.

But yeah he sucks i'd rather have John Harston, at least he uses his "physique" :wenger:

Never heard of improvement? He's 23/24 (according to the Togolese calendar). Adebayor is still a long way off from being a finished article which is frightening really considering the huge strides he has made in the last 12-18 months or so. He may still lack composure BUT he has the other attributes, pace, power, ability to remain injury free (relatively of course), technique and sheer athleticism. He may not have an Iberian surname BUT he is something alright. Ferdinand himself heaped praise on Adebayor last season after that defeat at Old Trafford. He said "He is one of the most difficult strikers i have faced", a top endorsement from a top top defender.

Disturbing post, there are some painful truths in there
