Zlatan Ibrahimovic

He really is. Messi is not really an all round forward but I know what you mean. A prime Drogba would also be in this category but Zlatan's technique is superior to Drogba's. The only thing he isn't is fast. He's brilliant as the focal point of your attack.

He's not as quick as he was when he was younger. He used to have more pace but also his game was far more based upon dribbling.

Testiment to what an allround player he is that as he's got stronger and slower he's just became more of a physical battering ram instead.

See I don't find him frustrating at all.

Wonderfully talented, does things on a pitch most other players wouldn't dream about, temperamental, edge to his personality and always speaks his mind. He's a breath of fresh air compared to 99% of footballers.

Admittedly some people find his style of play frustrating.

Pity he never made it to the PL, I'd say he would have taken to it like a duck to water. Brilliant player.
Well Wenger invited him for a trial when he was at Malmo. Zlatan replied: 'If you don't know how fecking good I am already you can feck off'.

Unless you splash like € 70 million for him just to watch him stroll around the pitch with the mobility of a tortoise, being flagged offside more often in 1 season than Inzaghi in his whole career, suffering from a chronic allergy against the Champions League anthem, questioning the manager just for the sake of it, throwing tantrums on and off the pitch and calling himself a Ferrari, not realising that Messi is a fecking F-19 jet.

Does it not frustrate you that for some reason he finds it perfectly acceptable to kick his team mates?

You never have a fight in school?

Of course the situation is not even remotely similar but he is what he is, hardly a mass murderer or a repeat offender.

Cantona was a far more problematic idiot wherever he played when he was young.

Zlatan is okay, never over the top or an attention whore though supremely confident nevertheless and outspoken.

Better than Bendtners overconfidence at least.

 Damn.

Thinking about it, he'd be an excellent replacement for Drogba, on paper at least.

He did very well against us at Old Trafford when we knocked Inter out, the season before they won it.

You never have a fight in school?

I wasnt in school in my late 20s.

He's done it several times  Repeat offender is exactly what he is.

Again, thats exactly what he is.

Very weird school insult. 0/10

He has had incidents but I don't see him as overly problematic, just that he needs to be the main man and needs a man manager.

Not the first player that needs that, problematic is Morrison, young Cantona, Balotelli etc.

he is outspoken. that's all.

he is one of the best forward in world football. we are never going to sign him anyway so i am more than happy not to see him playing his trade in england. imagine him playing for citeh or chelsea or arsenal. he would be an excellent player for any of the team that have him on their side.

technically he is up there with berba. and he is stronger physically and is a better finisher than berba as well.

he fecked up in the CL all these while but his league record is insanely brilliant!!

Pity he never made it to the PL, I'd say he would have taken to it like a duck to water. Brilliant player.

He is avoiding PL for a reason. His size/physique gives him a massive advantage in Italy and the slow tempo also suits him. I don't doubt for a second that he has considered England once or twice just to prove his doubters wrong but he probably feels he is better off earning millions in Italy as a star player rather than risking being a laughing stock in England like Shevchenko ended up being at Chelsea. The defenders in England know how to deal with his type which is showed in his record vs English teams.

ZLATAN'S RECORD VS ENGLISH TEAMS
GAMES PLAYED 19
WON 3
DRAWN 7
LOST 9
SCORED 4
WIN PERCENTAGE 16%

Once again vs England a few days ago he had limited impact and was unsurprisingly kept off the score sheet. I don't think he would be a mega flop in England though, he would probably have about the same impact as Berba like ricky-romeo said in a earlier post or indeed maybe slighty better thanks to being a bit faster and stronger. But at a £20-25 million transfer fee and massive wages he isn't worth it not even for a club with unlimited funds like City. He is not the type you put on the bench if he is struggling a bit just like Barca found out.

Up there with Berba ?
Ibrahimovic has got better technique in general than Berbatov.A great mixture of physicality and technique

This!

I'd have Eto'o over him - has the same good qualities as Ibra + more pace, better attitude and more consistently performs in big games & CL. Eto'o at his best was something else.

Only just seen his goal from last night... absolutely fantastic technique. The timing of it and the power he got on the strike were simply sensational.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic... he does what he wants.

He'd absolutely shit all over some of the comic defenders playing in the Premier League at the moment. You're making out like Italian football has bad defenders, which is just ludicrous. It's a very difficult league to be prolific in.

Good point well put.

This.

Unless the ball is in his radius he offers absolutely nothing except gasps of disbelief when his team mates don't get him the ball. He doesn't play for the team at all. He's a luxury who comes up with big goals, but if you're looking for a total team performance, you'd stay away from him. He makes Berbatov look like a sprinter.

When the Swedes needed someone to hoist them up on their shoulder against us, he mambled about. Sure when the ball was at his feet, he'd take on three defenders, but in today's modern game, I expect my strikers to contribute more.

I wouldn't have him here.

I'm impressed at how much stronger he has got. Like you say he is a battering ram. Was shocked at how he bulldozed Lescott the other game.

You're a bit foolish with these comments. He does everything Berba could do but better and actually does have an aggression about him. He gave the ball away against England yes but with Sweden he lacks quality around him and has to be the creative and scoring threat. He does it pretty well considering.

He is a very creative player and gets a lot of assists, you seem to think he just demands the ball dicks about and scores the odd goal. His movement is very good but just because he isn't always sprinting people don't realize this.

I always wished he would end up in the premier league because like everyone apart from probably Messi he is judged unfairly by the EPL is the greatest league ever crowd. Aguero was doubted (big talent can he do it in the prem, who is this Torres from spain etc etc) and after two goals on his debut he's the real deal.

The naivety of some fans goes on and on. If you share the opinions of Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen based on the fact you never watch him outside of the occasional international at a tournament or in the champions league (where in the last 4 or 5 seasons he's performed on the whole very well) you don't really know much about a player.

Basically if you don't take the time to watch the worlds talents why take the time to comment on them or critisize them. It's pointless and proves nothing.
