Film Zack Snyder's REBEL MOON

Despite all the shit and poor reviews why the hell did i watch this and wasted my time?
It's because comments like this make me want to watch it

In that it must be so bad it'll be entertaining to see how bad it is. Except of course somehow both this quote will be correct and it won't be entertainingly bad at all.

I have a horrible feeling I’ll end up doing the same thing. It’s kind of inevitable now.

I only made it maybe 2/3rds of the way through the first one before I lost the will to waste another minute on it. Awful acting, meandering story, and dull CGI fest that it was. I take it there's no reason to carry on with it? I really wanted to like it but man is it hard to like.

Feel like Snyder films are a social experiment to see how many people will watch a film they know is going to drain their will to live.

The last 1/3 is the better bit if that means anything, your already invested.

Some twisted broken part of me enjoyed it anyway.

Finally finished it
The last 30 mins was ok but predictable. It really was a b level star wars movie, so like the sequels
It just felt like a fan wanting to try do star wars with some light saber fights and a pointless x wings coming to the rescue after the main stuff is done.

And the fxkin slow motions. My wife made a mention of it. It's in some of the most random scenes too.

I don't hate him but I don't get people who are cult like fans of Snyder. Snyder has the ability to make a movie feel rushed as well as dragging out at the same time

I assume they want a third part.
Also assume Snyder has an extra two hours of footage for a director cut since he can't tell a good story in 90-100 minutes

Never understood the cult of Zack Snyder, other than him being the ultimate ‘style over substance’ director, beating out current day Ridley Scott in that respect.

I get why people cult over Nolan because he has been able to provide the substance with the style. Can you imagine Zach Snyder writing and shooting a movie like Memento?

There definitely used to be a cult of Zach Snyder, but I'm not convinced it exists anymore. The "Snyder Cut" thing was largely astroturfed, for example. I think he's just a few steps behind Roland Emmerich, who has now become box-office poison after years of making successful (and sometimes enjoyable) garbage.

Edit: similar to Michael Bay too, maybe.

This film definitely does not need a director's cut. Its best use would be as a substitute punishment for a jail term to help with the overcrowded prison system

Very funny tweet on it from Netflix

Both in terms of advertising that you didn't release the "true vision" originally, and that said vision basically just involves a lot of super slow-mo CGI blood spatter.

Yep, his true vision seems to be be slow-mo CGI blood splatter and decapitations .
Such a visionary director.

Trying to cash in on snydercut but manufacturing it is funny
