Personally, I watch United Stand, Stretford Paddock and sometimes flex's own channel. I also watch some of Ben Foster's podcasts too - he always has a good story to tell. Even if you dislike the YouTube channels, definitely look up Ben Foster talking with other people - he has stories on Fergie and Ronaldo too.
I like the watchalongs as well as interviews with ex-players and current journalists but I am not a fan of any of the transfer rumour videos which become stale and repetitive.
I will sometimes switch off because I can't stand the negativity, but that is no different to the forums either if we have a bad game. On the other hand, when we have a great result, I love to watch the fan reactions, the reactions to the goals and read the threads on the forums.
Parasites...
---------------
They are "tools"
The top YouTubers, Stretford Paddock and United Stand, have both had professional footballers and journalists regularly on their channels. Do people really think they would bother working with them if they were really tools? They could easily just get "gigs" elsewhere if that was the case.
They are "performers"
We have posters on redcafe who you could argue are "performers", with specific posting styles. Also, every matchday thread we have people lose their shit or go ballistic when something joyous happens. Are they all performers too?
They clickbait
When you look at the forums and have titles which say "United will win the title this season" and there is just a post with a meaningless prediction rather than any deep analysis. It happens a lot on the forums, no one seems to mind and it can be fun, but when it happens on YouTube, people get angry about it?
The reality is that nearly every YouTuber has clickbait titles so that their videos match better with whatever YouTube uses for its algorithms in delivering content to the end user. So how are they expected to both maintain and grow their audience using the current Youtube algorithms without clickbait?
They pretend to know tactics
I am willing to bet most redcafe members have never received professional tactical training at any level, let alone the highest level. So of course all the opinions we have are pure guesswork. What do you expect? Even professional footballers get it wrong. There is a big difference between getting paid to give meaningful insight (Neville, Carragher etc) and delivering content for free on a YouTube channel.
Only in it for the money
How is this different to why many professional football players become footballers in the first place or why TV broadcasters actually show football - because it makes money. Should they be expected to deliver content 24/7 and not make any money from it?
Supported other teams
It is always based on "rumours" and never any actual evidence. Lots of people also support two or more teams. We have people here on the forums who support both United and Ajax, or United and Sporting etc. Footballers also support multiple teams. More to the point, whatever is the truth, who cares? The more United fans the merrier!
They are parasites
What exactly do they talk about which leads to controversy, which is not also discussed on redcafe, reddit and other social media platforms?
---------------
The only platform I think I really dislike is Twitter. This is largely because it becomes ruined with bots, trolls and a small but vocal minority of people all of whom have clear sexist, homophobic or racist views etc which are not properly moderated out.
