Almost every United manager has promoted some youth players that they clearly like very much. The best example may be Mourinho with McTominay.

My bets, based on not much to be fair:

Mantato, Collyer, Amass, Kukonki, Obi-Martin.

Which players do you think Amorim will especially be fond of?

Mantato seems the obvious candidate to me: highly rated as a full back, even more highly rated as a winger, can play both sides extremely comfortably ... seems tailor made for Amorim's system as a wing back.

I don't think anybody gets an elevated chance as a result of the change. I think Obi Martin is the one that might have had a chance regardless because neither Hojlund or Zirkzee are scoring enough and one injury opens up a space. But even in this case I think effort will go towards getting those two firing first.

I think the change in system can allow certain players to flourish. Mantato and Amass in particular would be intriguing wingbacks.

Both are at least another year away from being ready to debut in my opinion, but im really excited about them both. Mantato has all the traits Amorim likes, hardworking, flair and young.
