Your Most Anticipated Movies of 2008!

Is anyone else looking forward to "Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden"? There is so much fuss around this Spurlock project that I am genuinely excited.
The hype is, Spurlock set out to find Osama. Very few people have seen it, and one who did said that "Spurlock had really found the Holy Grail"... whatever that means. The Weinstein(?) Company bought it after seeing only 15 mins. of it.
It's all really weird.

Did he interview bin Laden?

John Woo's Red Cliff. It's going to be split up like Kill Bill into 2 chapters.

Although I suspect that it's going to be shit, as Chow Yun Fat and Ken Watanabe were originally going to be playing major roles but aren't now.

It's all very hush hush, and distributors who saw the footage were asked to sign draconian nondisclosure agreements.

Must have then, should have put one in his head as well, 25 million is the going rate from the US government

Sequels

Sin City 2 is the currently unproduced sequel to Sin City. Although specific plot details remain unknown, it is generally believed the film will be based on Miller's A Dame to Kill For, certain stories from Booze, Broads and Bullets and an original story involving Nancy Callahan.[13]

Production on the film has been delayed, most notably due to Robert Rodriguez's involvement with a scheduled remake of Barbarella. There is also speculation that the box office failure of Grindhouse has caused the film to be delayed.

Even though the events confirmed for this film take place before certain events of the first film (allowing deceased characters such as Marv, Manute, and Goldie to return), they take place after the death of Hartigan, who will most likely not return. Bruce Willis has confirmed that he will not be involved in this film, but he has stated that he would love to reprise the role, if Frank Miller were to write some new Hartigan material for a subsequent sequel. It is unknown whether or not Becky (Alexis Bledel) or The Salesman/The Colonel (Josh Hartnett) will return to reprise their roles for this film. Miller has stated that they will do "a couple of 'Blue-Eyes' stories, and the character The Colonel is featured in all of them; the return of Josh Hartnett for the role of The Man/The Colonel depends on whether the characters are the same in the movie-continuum as they are in the comics. The use of "Blue-Eyes" may also be due to the possibility that the third film will consist primarily or entirely of Hell and Back, which features her as an important character.

Angelina Jolie was said to be Rodríguez's first choice in the role of Ava Lord, so much so that he was delaying production to correspond with her pregnancy, according to Rosario Dawson [14], but a subsequent article stated there are three rumored frontrunners for the role of Ava: Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Rose McGowan [15]. Frank Miller himself confirmed that he and Rodriguez were interested in having Jolie as Ava, and that the director was discussing the possibility with her.[16]

Jolie later discussed in an article that she read the comic and plans to meet with the director when the movie is planned to be made.

Angelina Jolie has reported that she will be having a year out of work in 2008 to spend more time with her family and partner Brad Pitt. Therefore, it is very unlikely that she will be available for Sin City 2.

It has been reported that Angelina Jolie has been replaced by Rachel Weisz as the front runner to play Ava in Sin City 2.[17]

Antonio Banderas has been rumored to star in the film. Johnny Depp and Addyson Medley have also been rumored to star in the role of Wallace. Depp not only has been rumored to star in Sin City 2, but Sin City 3 as well.[18] According to Rodriguez, the role of Wallace was written with Depp in mind.[19]

Frank Miller has confirmed that he and Robert Rodriguez have completed a script, but while at the 2007 Comic-Con, he blamed the Weinstein brothers for the delay.[20]

Robert Rodriguez has also signed on to direct a remake of Barbarella[21], leaving the fate of Sin City 2 in the air.

THat looks awesome, 3 of them:drool:

Those movies should be awesome!!

RE Sin City:

They have used the stories That Yellow Bastard; The Hard Goodbye; The Customer is Always Right; and the Big Fat Kill and a short from She Wore Red.

Dwight (Clive Owen in the first movie) is the protaganist in A Dame to Kill For. It will be interesting to see how they deal with the face change, when they have already shown Dwight in his changed state. In the first film when he comments on Marv as narrative, he should be bald.

Miller has confirmed he will release new stories. Another section of Sin City: 2, as suggested is the post Hartigan life of Nancy (Jessica Alba). He has promised a novel around the life and career of Hartigan up to rescuing the young Nancy. I can;t wait. I have all the current Dark Horse releases.:D

Indiana Jones 4, the new Batman and.......Sex And The City :) (Gotta have my chick flick).

I also heard that 28 Months Later could be out this year, loved the first two :)
Also, there's a Dog Soldiers 2 supposedly released this year sometime, absolutely loved the first one so hopefully the 2nd one will be as good.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Not the Alien v Predator... But actual Predator 3???!?!?!?!

Tell me yes.

Yes, Predator 3 is in the works, it's being kept very hush-hush at the moment though, might not make it out til 2009, but apparently the story involves an invasion of Earth by the Predators
