Your favorite summer window post-Fergie?

The Pogba / Zlatan window was great on paper.

Honestly, this window is equally as pleasing for me. I think we've done really sensible business.

If we can get Amrabat in too and mange to sell Maguire + one or two others, I will be more than pleased this year.

Favourite: Ronaldo, Varane and Sancho

Most disapointing: vdB, Amad, Telles

The window where we signed Di Maria and Falcao and a couple other guys was the most exciting for me. As far as I remember, that was the first summer where we really started throwing the money around. Signing the best player from the CL final for a then club record. Signing a striker who I thought would recover his form and become one of the best around again. Herrera was exciting. Shaw was exciting and the heir to Evra. It all looked so promising. I remember thinking "Rooney, RVP and Falcao. Man this is something special" Maybe a part of that is at that time I was less jaded by the constant let downs and false dawns of the last decade that continued to follow. I feel like, if I was the same person for both transfer windows, I would have been more excited, or at least equally excited, with the Varane/Ronaldo/Sancho window, but it just didn't feel the same.

Agreed, that front 6 diamond:

Blind
Herrera - Di Maria
Rooney
Van Persie - Falcao

Proper galactico stuff. And played so well against Leicester before Vardy dived for a penalty and Blackett showed he was completely out of his depth. Van Gaal never played it again I don't think. Always a shame I think, Van Gaal blamed the lack of balance in midfield (which was true) but also I would have liked to see it with proper defenders. Blackett was one of the most out of his depth players we've ever had play Premier League level and the other three of Rafael, Evans and Rojo weren't the sorts to cover for him.

Di Maria was an unbelievably exciting signing on par with signing Rooney in 2005 and I'm still sad that it didn't work out.

Signing di Maria after a CL man of the match game was very exciting. His start was great too... until it turned sour.

Pogba + Zlatan and even Miki looked exciting too. Pogba was good until the injuries broke him. Zlatan did well until his injury but Miki wasnt much of a succes in the end.

Martial was exciting as at that time he could be that young player developing into a world class player at Manchester United. The Ronaldo story... but that didnt turn out how it was planned either...Same story goes a bit for the Sancho signing.

Casemiro and Varane were exciting transfers too.

Overall thr summer with signing Pogba and Zlatan while Mourinho was the manager looked like the most exciting in terms of winning trophies in the upcoming season. Mourinho a known winner, Pogba the most exciting young midfielder and Zlatan who always won his league...

The most fun, although it turned into one big disappointment was the Moyes first window.

Remember Ed Woodward telling everyone who would listen who we're signing only to fall flat. The flying home from Australia "for important transfer business". it was exicting despite massive disapointment at the end.

Has to be the summer Ronaldo came back. At the time, it felt too good to be true, and it felt like a move that was going to be the difference maker. And after the two goals against Newcastle, I thought it was fully on. Man, how that turned out.

I never got excited about the Ronaldo window. At the time it felt like we completely abandoned our summer plans to avoid him going to city. I fully expected him to succeed to the detriment of the team. Also, after chasing Sancho for two years, the excited was gone.

The two most exciting are the windows everyone have mentioned. The ADM/ Falcao and the Pogba/ Zlatan/ Mourinho.
Come to think of it, probably the latter. It was like someone went on Whoscored and signed the highest rated players in the French, Italian and German leagues. How could that strategy go wrong

Unless we land kane(impossible) it's still going to be last season as we added 3 starters to our team two of them being world class.

This year we made a massive upgrade on our which is great but that wouldn't be enough to eclipse last season.

Two summers ago when we signed Sancho, Varane, and Ronaldo. I've never been more convinced we were title challengers after that, and I couldn't have been more wrong...

The Sumner of 2016 when we signed Pogba and Zlatan was a close second.

Would Zirkzee, Yoro/Braithwaite, De Ligt, Ugarte (4 signings) bring a similar excitement this time?

Plus 1 creative signing. But Mount is like a new signing and Amad will hopefully get more chances so if that’s the plan will understand, also Zirkzee is more creative than number 9.
