You can sign a GK, a RB and a CM...

GK: Juan Pablo Carrizo

we don't need a RB

we don't need a CM for now

Goalkeeper: de Gea - Seems to be the name in vogue right now, and for good reason. I've seen quite a lot of de Gea and his game is frighteningly complete for a 19 year old.

Right back: Fucile - I haven't seen too much of him at Porto, but he really impressed me during the World Cup for Uruguay. I know he can also play on the left side as well, so added cover for Evra would be quite useful.

Midfielder: Hamsik - Dynamic, direct, skillful... Just the type of midfielder we're lacking. Like Gibson, he'll score goals from midfield, but unlike Gibson, he's actually rather good at football. I don't think Modric is out of the question next year either, if van der Vaart can maintain his form for Tottenham, Harry could be willing to listen to offers. And for me, Modric is the ideal replacement for Scholes.

Lloris - The best young keeper out there, IMO.
Santon - Might end up playing left side if he can't displace Maicon but still going to be a superstar.
Rodwell - Looks like he's going to be a really good player. He's physically strong too which is a massive plus in this league.

Not sure about Lloris but I agree on the other two.

De Gea does look very promising. His rise from 4th choice to 1st has been pretty impressive. Very early days for both him and Lloris.

GK Neuer edges out De Gea for me if only because he is older and more experienced of the 2.

RB Rafael reminds me of a very young, South American Gary Neville, so he'll do for me. I also have the feeling he's going to be a "lifer."

CM Since I didnt buy a RB I'm entitled to 2 CM's ;) Banega and Sneijder would make my juices flow at the moment.

My inner muppet loves this thread.

GK: Neuer, most promising young keeper out there
RB: Has to be Maicon, very solid defensively, great at attacking. Superb player.
CM: Cesc Fabregas without the shadow of a doubt. He can dictate games and despite his young age and being stuck with a rubbish team, he's already one of the best midfielders out there.

GK: What about Asenjo? He's fallen behind De Gea in the pecking order, and Atletico might be more willing to let him go
RB: Rafael's fine.
CM: Safe option is probably Rodwell. However, going mad for a bit, I do actually quite like Mulumbu of West Brom. He's done alright for himself so far against Premiership opposition, and might do better with better players around him. He's only 23, as well.

Everyone at Atletico are for sale. That's why.

Arsenal, a rubbish team?

GK - Anders Lindegaard, Scadanavian keepers are usually good and this bloke would be cheap and would stay for life unlike De Gea who would be off to Spain or Italy after a few years saying that his wife couldn't settle in Manchester!

RB - Don't need one especially if Hargreaves comes back although I wouldn't mind someone like Lahm to give the sqaud more depth as O'Shea is very hit and miss now!

CM - Rodwell no doubt. He can score goals and defend. Tipped as a future Steven Gerrard and would stay for life. In saying that I think we need a Rodwell type player but also need to get an ageing playmaker too to play a bit part role. VDV really would have been perfect as he could have been great to have to come off the bench. Defour looks good but will want first team football. A goalscoring playmaker that is maybe a few years younger than Scholes and happy to spend time on the bench and become an impact sub such as a Riquelme, Arteta or even a Landon Donovan or someone affordable like that would be nice too!

GK: Buffon, I would want us to sign a proven goalkeeper, not some promising young one.

RB: No one. Rafael is good enough, and Brown/O'Shea can be his backup.

CM: Schweinsteiger/Modric , we need someone who's able to control our midfield and at the same time add some creative presence. We cannot rely on Scholes all the time.

GK: Stekelenburg - A good experienced age who wont rule out the possibility of Amos growing into the #1 spot.

RB: There isn't a top class 30 year old of an afforadable price to make it worth it.

CM: Ever Banega - Technically gifted, tackles hard and has a great creative passing range.

Didnt say that I cant sign players from the past.

GK- Schmeichel
RB- Cafu
CM- Roy Keane (1999-2001 version)

Er...Arsenal are one of the best teams in the world, despite having a poor record against even better teams.

GK; Julio Cesar
RB; I think Rafael will develop into a quality player. If I had to sign one then it'd probably be Maicon.
CM: Fabregas. Perfect replacement for Scholes.

GK : Adler
RB : Not needed
CM : Rodwell

seconded, either him or Neuer, Germans tend to be good goalkeepers and i believe that these 2 will become top keepers. As for the RB, i want Rafael to be given a full season as our first choice RB, he will make mistakes, but he will learn and i think he has potential to be an excellent full-back.
Rodwell, i really think this guy is the real deal, can see him become a leader from midfield, and he's English.

We were linked with De Gea in a tiny part of a newspaper the other day and now everyone is bigging him up. Have you actually seen him play a lot Cina?

Of course I have. La Liga, and usually Athletico are on Sky Sports every weekend. It's not exactly hard to see a match. Anyway, you'd only need to watch 2 or 3 games to see just how much talent that lad has for a 19 year old.

Also, can't understand why folk are picking De Rossi, mind you it seems to be folk who are addicted to FM, so maybe that explains it. He'd way overrated. Stay clear.

John O'Shea can play all of those positions so I wouldn't sign anyone.

(At the same time as well)

Yeah, I would just throw Corry Evans or a fit Owen Hargraeves into goalkeeping training just to be a backup O'Shea, we needed that last season.

Please say Atletico. It's a Spanish team. Athletic Bilbao was formed by an Englishman and therefor it's called Athletic.
Cheers.

GK: Dionisis Chiotis

RB: Ibrahim Said

CM: Mark Kerr/Eldar Hadzimehmedovic

Akinfeev - Played well against us at OT

Matthews (Cardiff) - Have been linked with him & its easy to see why, a real up and coming talent throught the ranks.

Dzagoev - Another Moscow player who I was impressed with last season. Cleary a player for the future as he loves running at defenders & whiping balls into the box.

Flappy. E)Boue and Song
Your sarcasm's a bit misplaced isn't it? Our PIG is better than your PIG and he's three years younger. Eboue is a better right-back than anyone you've fielded in that position this season and Song is a better DM than any fit/in form option you've got.
