Looks like vastly improved Mii people.

So microsoft have just combined elements of the Mii system and Home to create their own ripp-off interface?

Whatever works I guess, but Gears of War 2 is what I anticipate this November.
 
I have no idea what so ever this is all about. What is the differences? Do i get a little character man? Why do i need a character? What is it for? What can i do with it?
 
Its just an update of the dashboard, basicaly on 19th November everyone will have to update to this. The Wii rip-offs are just part of the new set up.

Essentialy, the Wii rip-offs replace your gamer-tag and shit

ALthough the new feature where you can download games to your harddrive from the DVD's could be good. Just wondering If you still need need the DVD to play :devil:

hehe a mate of mine loaded this the day before it was supposed to be realeased and LIVE banned him.

Shrugged it off though saying he'll just buy another console

Hoping to get a 360 soon.....Have a ps3 but there are a number of games only out for the 360 and plus the feckin thing is cheaps as chips now!
 
unbelievably good if you like oblivion styled games. Theres a thread on it somewhere here but basically its after nuclear war in DC. All washington monument and everything is there and exploreable. Your originally in a artificial environment known as a vault (which is basically the last places of untainted land) and your father goes walkabout for an experiment to make all the water pure in the land. You will leave to follow him and scour DC doing misisons, exploring, killing etc. Has a cool combat system where you can pause time and select what you want to shoot and then play it out in real time. Or you can just go FPS style. Definately worth a look to see if you like that sort of game or not. A little bit slow to get started but once your going its really good.
 
Nice one, may give it ago in the new year, got a large back catalogue of games to get threw atm..

And still not got cod5/gow2...
 
Fallout is a legendary rpg series originally on the pc but like everything these days now on consoles, it is set in a post apocalypse United states, no elves and swords in this one, mutants and mohawks instead.

This new game is by Bethseada who make the equally legendary Eldar Scrolls rpgs, pedigree is good and the reviews are stellar, I've bought it but yet to play it.
 
Just wondering, what exactly is the advantage of saving games on your Harddrive?

I just installed Fable 2 and it still asks me for the disk :wenger:

Apparently its to decrease loading times, but theyre still pretty horrendous on Fable.
 
I installed Fifa, and the quicker loading times are easily noticeable. It also helps because Fifa for some reason enjoyed giving me a disc read error if i played the game after leaving the disc in the drive for a long period, without it being played.
 
Since the update my Fable game has crashed about 10 times now and it's really pissing me off. Going to try and install it to the harddrive and see if that helps.

My 1st wife divorced me as she was a bit of an ugly bitch so I married someone else who decided to have my 2nd child so I killed her infront of the 1st wife, in some kind of Showing my love ritual. I've turned Fable into the Jermey Kyle show.

My first wife divorced me. infact she followed me all the way from Bowerstone to bloody Bloodstone to do it. I married a hooker instead as she was slightly more amusing in bed, then I invited loads of other hookers back to the house of some bloke I had just killed and had a threesome. My new hooker wife found out and had a hissy fit. Luckily she is a lot cheaper than my old wife who was a stuck up tart, and I made up for cheating on her by giving her some plastic flowers. Now all is good again and she's living in the house of the guy I murdered.

I need this game
 
For me, personally, the biggest advantage from installing to HDD is the massive reduction of noise coming from my 360. Fable 2, however, is much more playable now. I could barely play it in it's previous form. Noisy as feck and severe menu lag. Thankfully both of those have gone now, and I can actually enjoy the game.
