Im with weaste, i also believe there aren't enough good games out anyway to warrant a chip in my opinion, theres like one decent game a month MAX(averaged out).
It's not a chip, it's done through a software update, but yeh, it does the same thing.
You download them, but you can also play legit bought games.
Which Xecuter kit would be better, Lite or Pro??
I'll be getting that PCI card as I know my chipset isn't compatible with the LiteOn. I found a converter for the power connector too. The DVD drives power cable is custom on the xbox so it's hard to find, but the one I found adapts it to molex. Or does the connectivity kit have something to power the drive?
I'd go with pro just to be sure. It's only a little extra. If memory services, a molex goes into the xecuter board so the computer powers it.

I got lite and had no problems whatsoever. I don't even know what extras pro has as I don't remember anything lacking. The connectivity kit powers the drive.
If you're after the pro, yes. £4 postage on the SATA card there though...

As long as your box has the right firmware, just burn the image to a normal dual layer disk and you're away. There are plenty guides online for doing it.
I haven't experienced any disk read errors when burning this way (to report to the authorities, of course) even though it will say it's over capacity etc.
All seems to be going well, just tested Dark Souls... as for the truncating stuff, doesn't matter if you stay off-line right?
To quote c4eva who creates the LT firmware for the xbox 360 "stop truncating you noobs".
The part of the data that is not being burnt using the truncate method is the security which they believe will flag you up for a ban if this data is missing so yeah continue to truncate but it's not the recommended method any longer.
