WSL Cup 24/25 | United v Newcastle - 7pm Wed 11 Dec

@AmarilloMike I’d say tonight she’s been pretty close to great.
Agreed, Watson looks really positive whenever she's on the ball.

Those half time subs were weird by the way - George partnering Turner at centre back with Le Tissier staying at right back. It's no wonder we conceded almost immediately!

If we lose this game, are we eliminated on goal difference? Or do we go through on head to head beating Liverpool? Is goal difference or head to head the 1st tie breaker?
GD then head to head.

So it's nice to see Rachel Williams put us back in front! It was starting to feel way too tight.

I’d like to see that 2-goal cushion on the scoreboard. We’ve been shaky defensively and I can’t see us not conceding another stupid goal.

I’ve not been watching this. How is the score line so close when it looks like we’ve completely dominated?

Because every single time Newcastle get close to our box, as rare as that is, we look like conceding. We also should’ve score 6 or 7 goals already. So we’ve been poor to average in both boxes.

Tonight's attendance announced as 1745. Not bad for Wednesday night in the League Cup!

Wasn’t able to watch sadly but good to get another win and some squad rotation too. And that ends the group stage with 3 wins out of 3 which should be enough to qualify for the knockout stage. Still, given what happened last year I think I’ll wait for official confirmation that the FA haven’t found a way to feck us over before celebrating.

Newcastle having three shots on target (to our 10) and scoring three doesn’t look great for Safia Middleton

The group stage is over and here comes Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal into the quarterfinals who have not played a game yet :D What a farce!
