WSL 24/25 | Chelsea v United - 12:00 on Sun 24 Nov

So the original game plan goes out the window as we’ve conceded. Wonder what we’ll change now.

That being the 3rd goal conceded all season by Utd is impressive. Didn’t realise you were so good defensively.

Absolutely dominated. Chelsea attacking with ease and unless something changes it'll be 2 or 3 by halftime

It’s inevitable that it’ll work every now and then when you start with six or more defenders.

Usual Chelsea game, always concede early, it never fails. at least the obligatory chelsea penalty at home is ticked off. it also never fails.

Infuriating to see the ref stop play for Bronze's 'injury' just as Geyse is finally breaking free. Not saying it was the wrong call to stop play, only that it's annoying these two things happen at the same time.

WHAT THE FCK just happened? Ramirez got a dangerous free kick for NOTHING! Clinton asking the ref TWICE - "whats this about"?

We're not going to lose this game because of poor refereeing, but we can absolutely be prevented from getting something out of it ourselves.

Very disjointed game so far. Very stop start. Dull stuff.

We're now working through the consequences of Williams getting booked for the foul on Hampton. The ref's not sure if it was a red not a yellow. So she's giving them plenty of fouls in compensation.

If you want try and get more people to watch Women's football, I would strongly encourage you to point them in the direction of matches that don't feature us (United).

:D:lol: Sad but true, but Vs Chelsea its just to show up and lose. They have not lost a league game to us in 6 years.

To be fair I think a neutral or a Chelsea fan would be quite happy. Its just us United fans suffering

Barely any correct decisions with the ball in midfield or from attacking players

Left side has given the ball away way too much, although Geyse has at least been involved and has had some amount of success

Right side has been dominated by Chelsea's left side with Baltimore making far too much progress going forward and linking up with Reiten. Riviere has done quite well defending but neither her nor, more importantly, Bizet have done anything going forward

Clinton taking too much time on the ball and too quiet overall

Awujo is doing fine as a ball winner but has had loose touches that have been pounced on, Janssen has just played the most basic of passes so shes managed by far our most keeping it the most simple it can be. Hasnt done anywhere near as much defensively as Awujo and doesn't know what attacking is so has had no impact going forward.

You might be right, of the games I've watched I don't think we've played well once and a couple have been comfortable wins. We are an excruciatingly bad team to watch, my interest has incredibly waned under Skinner and I genuinely enjoyed watching us prior to him.

1-0 down, just before half-time, zero shots on or off target, and Skinner is having a laugh with Charlotte Healy. There, in a nutshell, is our problem.

With astonishing similarity to the men, it's easy to forget in times of trouble that we were genuinely good in Skinner's first season. There have also been some wonderful, spectacular moments not least of which beating Chelsea themselves at LSV in the cup semi last season and indeed winning the cup itself.

Skinner's time is up, he's clearly run out of ideas, but I appreciate the good times he and his team delivered. The atmosphere at LSV that day against Chelsea will live long in my memory for sure.
