WSL 23/24 | Aston Villa v United - 12:30 on Sun 1 Oct

Despite a couple of turnovers recently, we’ve taken care of the ball very well. Last season we struggled in this regard every now and then but our passing so far has been very good. While also being ambitious with it.

What the hell did we waste there? Geyse's pass/shot could have been better, but the rebound should have seen a good shot from inside the box.

Geyse looks to have this defence on toast so far, need to make the most of it.

Geyse reminds me of Lauren James. Supremely confident on the ball.

Still think James is the best female player I have seen

Seems like someone is going to get sent off soon the way the ref is dishing out cards. Which is daft because it has not been a dirty game at all.

Villa's Lehman is definitely more world-famous than world class. She just isnt very good technically. Just a good athlete.

Good first half from United, grew into it and Geyse has looked a real potential match winner which is exactly what we hoped for.

A good 45 minutes in what is probably the toughest away day apart from the top four.

Actually surprisingly good considering we’re just getting back from the international break.

García, George, Le Tissier, Zelem, Geyse all very bright.

Promising half, not too surprised that we seem to be missing Batlle more out of the two high profile departures. Need to be a bit more composed and committed in the area.

Everton 0-2 Brighton after 14 minutes.

Ramsey in goal for Everton, Baggaley for Brighton. Thorisdottir started for Brighton, Aherne on the Everton bench.

I enjoyed it, A bit scrappy and rusty looking, but exciting to see Garcia and Geyse starting to click.

It's a mystery how few shots on target we got given the possession and the amount of time we spent in the penalty area.

Villa dangerous on the break. Could easily do damage to us on the second half.

Dont forget complaining at the ref is a yellow card, and so is also incidental head contact if you go up for a ball in the air!

We are lacking a presence in the box. Geyse seems to be more of an inside forward.

Yeah that's the worry, with Hanson and Daly it could happen at any moment when we're piling forward.

Ebony Salmon coming on. A bit sad seeing her in a villa shirt, I did have hopes of her joining us when she left the US. She has scored against us before...

Just the final ball missing but Geyse is dominating the Villa defenders. So strong.

Bit frustrated there with Galton just walking in the box when we're attacking.

Villa second to every ball at the minute. We’re doing the basics very well. Just lacking that cutting edge.

Once Geyse gets fully in sync with the other attacking players it will be something special

Had Ladd picked the right pass there we could’ve been away for a very dangerous counter.

What's the odds Leon comes on and has a worldie in the Skinner revenge match.
