WSL 2024/25 | MD10 - 14/15 Dec

Leicester go a goal up against Chelsea. Twenty minutes in and Leicester had scarcely touched the ball until then. Great work on the counter though - Chelsea defence must have fallen asleep. Leicester 1-0 Chelsea

Leicester apparently the better team overall in the first half?

The stats are a fair description of the game but I guess what's missing from the raw numbers is that Chelsea look very flat.

Chelsea aren't missing sitters, Leicester's keeper hasn't turned into a magician. Real goalscoring opportunities or even serious action inside the box have been rarities - quite a few of Chelsea's shots have been hit and hopes from anywhere.

As I say that, Chelsea get a "shot on target" but it's a tame header straight into the keeper's hands.

Equaliser - Great shot (or hit and hope!) from the edge of the box by Kaptein.

Traditional WSL break with ten minutes to play Leicester keeper sits down, physios pretend to work on her. 7 minutes + stoppage time.

Should’ve made her my kaptein.
Doh

I'm not getting a lot of FF points out of my Chelsea players this week, that's for sure.

And today was the day I went all in with my Chelsea FF players by captaining and vice-captaining 2 of the 3.
Dammit.

Feck you man. Keep your grubby FF hands off Chelsea players next time, alright?

1-1 Leicester slide out of the relegation places and Chelsea's winning run comes to an end.

Lots of Chelsea chances in the last 15 minutes but no winning goal.

Same here. To make matters worse I had Bright down as a safe bet for clean sheet points as well.

On the other hand - wow Chelsea dropped some points. Shame it wasn't to us.

Maybe I should stack my team with Arsenal, City, and Chelsea players so that my all-powerful FF curse gives United a chance of top 3 :)

A weekend of surprise results? Hope we continue it by beating Palace by a few goals ;)

It's just getting weird now. Everton 2-0 at halftime? Against City who looked so good against Barca a couple of months back.

Ok, their injury list isn't great, but still - Everton. Wow.

City surprisingly poor even if they are missing Greenwood, Shaw, and Hemp.

Probably jinxing it now, but I started wondering about Gareth Taylor’s job security…

Soon five years in the job and one league cup is the only trophy he’s won. Even that was almost three years ago. He’s got the same amount of trophies as Marc fecking Skinner.

I know they finished on level points with Chelsea last season and how difficult it is to win anything in England when Chelsea are competing with you, but still…

One would think City had higher standards. They won plenty before Taylor got the job.

This is a big let off for us. Drop points for the first time this season and then City go one better.
