Possibly, there is certainly that risk. Although it could have the opposite effect and drive growth if more owners decide to put money into the womens game
I'm thinking how much talent is too much talent?
I felt with the Girma deal that Chelsea were potentially overdoing it. We have so many players now on the bench or in the stands that could be starters for other really good teams. Like is there a reason to have Bronze, Perriset and Ashley Lawrence in the squad at the same time? All 3 would be starters for other top teams, but we have all 3 and only one of them can start at a time.
I know the mens game is out of control, but I feel a bit more protective over the women's game. I don't to see it held hostage by one team outspending the entire league combined and hoarding all the talent and all the titles. I want good healthy competition, which we have had in recent seasons. But it's concerning when we see the title race potentially completely dead by the halfway point and the top team continues to make blockbuster, elite signings. There's also stories out there that we're trying to add Trinity Rodman too. How much is overkill?
