Irony of signing him because he was something we didn't have, only to play him in the 10. While balking at Joao Felix's loan fee..
Huh ?I love him… sign him please
Think that was the idea ten Hag had - get Weghorst until the end of the season to defend the lead or as an impact sub like he was for Netherlands vs Argentina for example. With Martial always injured we see Weghorst start almost every game and him being Besiktas player starting games for United is not ideal. He would be good to bring on to defend a lead in the last 10 minutes. The amount of energy he puts in is admirable. He's just not very good at football.
He's a disaster when you consider he's replacing Ronaldo who is an out and out striker. The team is in a ridiculous position of now being overly reliant on Rashford. I place no blame on him because he's here by nothing more than chance and coincidence but Weghorst is a solid reminder of Glazer ownership. Hoping the club is sold as quickly as possible.
Yeah. Really weird feeling watching it. He played as midfielder the whole game and worked really hard. No complaints from me.He has went in for 6 aerial duels. Won 0. How is that even possible? The guy is literally Gulliver. Should have scored that chance.
I appreciate the effort, he works hard, but games at this level are like triple speed to him.
i saw him getting bullied by De Jong somewhere in the end. I mean shre, Frenkie is a bit over 1m80, but he weighs like 2 stone (I have no idea how much this is, but I think it's not much). He has went in for 6 aerial duels. Won 0. How is that even possible? Championship player getting to strut around Camp Nou, he must be loving it.
He also lost headers to Gavi and Alba, they're shorter than De Jongi saw him getting bullied by De Jong somewhere in the end. I mean shre, Frenkie is a bit over 1m80, but he weighs like 2 stone (I have no idea how much this is, but I think it's not much).

2 stone is - and I'm just guessing here - about 500kg.i saw him getting bullied by De Jong somewhere in the end. I mean shre, Frenkie is a bit over 1m80, but he weighs like 2 stone (I have no idea how much this is, but I think it's not much).
People on here would be laughing their asses of if he were starting games for our rivals every week. One of the most bizarre signings ever, considering the posisition we're in.
I agree. But he still managed to lose a clear areal duel to Gavi, who’s like half his heightIt's because he throws himself into every possible challenge.
He might only have an 80% chance of winning it, but he will challenge for it. You don't always have to win the ball to be effective.
Stats like this are quite meaningless without context.
Can someone more tactically astute than me explain what he brings to the team? What does Ten Hag see in him? He's not even playing as our striker, he's playing #10 for Christ's sake.
I don't remember the situation, but heading is often about timing and being aggressive - as we've seen with Martinez.I agree. But he still managed to lose a clear areal duel to Gavi, who’s like half his height

What absolute rubbish. Fred and Casemiro did all the heavy lifting. He was as useful as a chocolate teapot. I guess you see what you wanna see.One of the main reasons we were able to compete with them in midfield.
I'm sure you can, but personally no, I can't. It's a Feyenoord thing. Work rate is our jam. Also, can we stop commending players for trying hard? It's the fecking bare minimum, stop using it as a positive in how someone performed in a match. If a player isn't actually trying they should be fecked off immediately, there's no need to give someone credit for it.
I guess tall people don't learn to jump as they don't need toMan, I know, but I'm not pulling it without the context of my eyes. I see him jump, but he looks like a guy who has never had to jump in his life, he looks like he does it half-heartedly. I think I saw him lose one to Gavi. Gavi.
