Lets say Real get bounced from the CL and don't win their league - both realistic scenarios. They place Ronaldo on the market for 25m. Would you pay that for for him ? Yes or No.

Why yes?

We have Ruud, we don't need another striker unless we play 2 up front, which, in case you hadn't noticed, we don't.

Yes. He's world class and delivers in big games.
The only probs we would have would be the 10 games or so a year when everybody's fit.
We could do:
4-4-1-1 when in defence with Ruud or whatever.
Doesn't matter, when he's that good, take him.

Raoul asked Yes or No, he never asked for a why!

I think it's safe to assume that when he asks "would you pay that for him" we are talking about our club paying 25m for him yes? If so then why not allow the thread to develop and debate the answers given? Or do you need a new thread titled "Would you pay 25m to bring Ronaldo to United please give reasons for your Yes or No answer?"

Nope.

Where does he fit in our team then Waste?

You are full of questions today Dans.

Somewhere in front of our midfield.

Better? :)

(regarding a fit Ronny)

Why wouldn't he fit in our system???

We don't exactly play with a rigid formation..do we?

He's a striker. We play with one striker and have done pretty much all season. So where do you play him? He's not a hole player. This is verging on ridiculous.

a hole player??

have you been watching us, last few months???????

Scholes ain't exactly a left midfielder, yet he's played there, Giggs is no forward, yet he's playing as a CF..Ole's no right-winger yet he's played on the right.

WE don't play any friggin 'system'...like Real, we play total football....

So are you implying that Ron doesn't have the ability to play behind or alongside Ruud???

I'm implying that Ronaldo is a striker and that's where he should play.

well I think a fit Ron would be excellent in our system...

the space and movement that'd be created with ruud would be awesome.

However....right now I'd prefer Aimar.

Ronaldo would fit into United's system. RVN and Ronaldo (assuming healthy for 75% of the matches) would combine for 60-100 goals. No doubt in my mind that he is the one player that would take United to the CL final, if fit. Well, United also need a commanding presence at CB.

Nope, because I hate him to play for us.
But,if they state the price at 25m,we must always consider at it here.

Ronaldo is a magnificent striker but also an injury prone. I cannot see him survive into the tougher EPL

Tough one. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhh! No, we do need a good "lone striker" backup for Ruud but we can't afford 25m+wages for the times Ruud is injured.

i would absolutely fecking love it if we signed him. Him and Ruud would be awesome together.

ps. i can feel the love in this thread!

:D

The guy left Inter for Real after Inter had been waiting for him to get well for over two years. They supported him through thick and thin and never gave up their belief in the player, took him to every fecking knee spesialist on the planet. Didn't load him off or sell him or nothing like that.
And when he finally got well he pissed off to Real, so he could get his bleedin' high wage!

Disrespectful wanker ! I would never support him. How can some of you guys and girls have a problem with Kluivert if you don't have a problem with Ronaldo ?

i dont have a problem with either player.
all i care about is their ability to do the business for Manchester United. Amen.

So the fact that the Inter manager didn't want him was of no importance...

Do you really think that EPL is tougher than Spanish League?

BTW, taking Ronaldo for 20 Millions is not a realistic conjecture.

Why not Raul for 12 Millions?

Or Casillas for Ricardo, on the fly?

Of course, the answer to those three cuestions would be the same...

Taking Beckham for 25 million is not a realistic conjecture either! <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />
