Yes to the player. But not his political influence of PSG, which I think is the club's own doing.
Absolutely would take him at whatever cost we could afford.
He would guarantee goals, he could score goals out of nothing and win games on his own, he is unstoppable in the pitch and he is currently few steps ahead of everyone else (any player other than Haaland). He is still young and he would probably remain to be the best 1 or 2 players in the world in foreseeable future. He is a generational player.
Absolutely yes. If there are any players out there in the world right now that can instantly change a game for you by taking the game by the scruff of the neck, then it's him.
This is a very silly question

Ah, but think about how much we can all moan when he has a bad game!!No, I hate happiness
Safe to say @Devil You Know clearly thinks his potential disruption to dressing room overrides what he could offer on the pitch. Would guess he feels exactly the same about a loan deal for Neymar instead but maybe wrong
He'd be another 2021 Ronaldo or Pogba. No thanks.
Mbappe is too big an influence and too big a personality. If he was a positive influence or a motivational personality, then great. Problem is, he's the exact opposite.
We need to get away from being the Disney of football. Honestly, the thinking behind getting Mbappe is the same reason United have been failing for so many years. We keep trying to take shortcuts and it's been blowing up in our face.
The Madrid dressing room might be able to control his ego, but the United one is still too fragile. Generally speaking, the big two Spanish teams have been better at tempering glamour signings because they're more glamourous clubs which can keep Europeans/South Americans in awe. On the other hand, English clubs usually need to create their own stars and steep them in the traditions of English football in order to earn their loyalty. I don't think you can skip those steps with a diva like Mbappe. He'd kick off as soon as his plane landed.
Fergie built all his teams around young players who gradually matured into stars. As much as I hate Guardiola and Klopp, they did the same thing. Hell, even Arteta is following that template now. It's the direction EtH also needs to go in as well.
who wouldn't? Of course it is impossible, and if he decides to leave PSG one day, it will be Real Madrid anyway.
I really don't get this whole diva thing and I've not seen anything from the guy himself to suggest he has such a bad attitude. It's all come from the media and their love for Messi and the desire to tear down a young foreign talent. There's a great interview Mbappe did with David Beckham and he comes across really well. He's at a small club now who don't have the history to handle his talent. If he came here I firmly believe with the new owners and ETH, he'd be motivated and would become a legend. Imagine him here vs Haaland at Man City. The competition between those two alone would be immense and I'd love to see him in a utd shirt
exactly thisThis has to be one of the most daft threads I have ever seen. Would you take probably the best player in the world right now? I think that's a solid yes for any team.
I have a feeling it is probably the same soap opera or tactic to get more money from PSG. I will not be surprised if he sign a new contract with PSG with 200m sign on fee and 2M a week end of summer.Yeah accepted that

It is not about quality or wages for me. This is about building a team.I would take him in a heartbeat.
I don't get this players will be upset at his wages and lead to problems. I'd get if we were signing Weghorst and making him the highest paid player in the squad, but this Mbappe, one of the best in the world.
A Manchester United players mindset should be "how is this guy going to help us win trophies". Van Persie came into the squad as the second or third highest paid player even over guys like Giggs, Vidic and Scholes. No one questioned it and raised a fuss because they knew what he would do for the team.
If a player is going to upset at Mbappe coming in they can either a) put themselves on the level to demand similar or b) go find another club that will pay you what you're getting here because considering how generous we've been with contracts, that's not likely to happen. I sincerely doubt City players were ready to cause an uprising when they signed Halaand.

What made City such as a relentless force last season - it wasn't just Haaland's signing, but the fact they could field two teams, both of which were capable of winning most games. It means they were seldom affected by injuries the same way their rivals were. The best United teams have also always had an abundance of attacking options.I like all the posters that are saying yes, without even thinking of how he will play in our system. Our left attacking role is probably one of our strongest area of the team with Rashford and Garnacho playing there, along with Sancho. With Mbappe in the team, I can only assume, we are looking to sell Rashford or Garnacho, or play Rashford as a no.9.
Antony - Rashford - Mbappe
Or
Antony - Kane or Muani or Felix - Rashford
Rashford and Mbappe are the same type of players. I doubt they will work well together. Players like Rashford and Mbappe needs that target number number 9 or a false no.9 to get the best out of them. Playing both Rashford and Mbappe in the same team seems something that someone that plays fifa will do. Of course Mbappe is the better player than Rashford, but if we believe in Rashford someone like Kane, or even muani or Felix are better option for the team attacking structure.
It is not about quality or wages for me. This is about building a team.
You don't put expensive roof on your house if you don't have great and stable walls. Simple. A football team that is successful needs to be built from back.
Mbappe or those kind of luxury players where most of them have failed in our shirt are not and shouldn't be a priority.

Its the same reason we're looking at a CB too, our options off the bench have far from inspiring at any point in the season, and whenever we had injuries to key players we struggled considerably.
Rashford, Mbappe, Garnacho and Antony aren't going to play every game, but you'd expect them to still get plenty of minutes. And there's no reason why Rashford and Mbappe can't play together most games. And while Rashford has had a tremendous season for us, what happens if he reverts to poor form again or gets injured?
