Would the Glazers actually be too scared to employ a young SAF if he was around now?

They wouldn't even be for him. Just get some over the hill manager instead. Fergie would probably end at Liverpool or something :(
 
I don't buy this. Glazers have no substantial preference or simply interest when it comes to choosing managers imo.

Those are decided by people below and their advisors.
 
If say a manager was around now, who look someone like Hearts for example to winning the SPL several times and then won the Europa league, beating some of the top names in Europe, then I imagine Barca, City, Bayern, Real and everyone else would be in for him. Hardly like Ferguson had a blank CV when he showed up here.
