Wot, no transfers? It's all happening now!

Under a month to the next season starts, would be nice if they could get shit done so the new players can start training with the squad!

Have you only started supporting United this year? Its a life of disappointment if you expect early transfers I fear

Can't be buying players. What are you all thinking? Got to save the pennies for the Glazers dividend payments. Get your priorities right.

I doubt we gained many supporters this year, apart from old fans' kids, mate ;)

I know, it's frustrating, let the team get time to gel before season starts, just spunk the money now instead of doing it late every fluffing year!

 this place has so many People who are so negative . The lads finished their Season only a few days ago . Clear talks with a massive transfer in Sancho. looks to me like its either Brooks or Grealish and we are looking at CB option . Plenty of time to get players in before the season starts . Sit back Relax and Enjoy going to be plenty of Breaking news before the opening day of the season .

That is not a difficult decision particularly if we could include James on loan or Romero on permanent deal as part of the deal

If we end up with no signing or mediocre signings something has to be done some sort of protest or whatever no idea what or how but something needs doing United will never be ambitious under the Glazers all they care about is money not winning trophies.

Would have definitely been nice to get a signing wrapped up early because our season ended on a kind of low despite the top four position. Still plenty of time but if it drags on too long fans are going to get irritable.

I keep seeing posts about plenty of time. Just because the transfer window closes October 5th doesn't mean we have plenty of time.

We want to go into the season with our team, not a team from last season. It is 4 weeks away. We take 4 weeks to even plan one transfer.

Why is it only us that take this long to do transfers? Surely we cannot be waiting around for Sancho all summer?

The Glazers will make sure Ole gets a couple of players no matter the quality so they can point to them backing him when they sack him if he doesn't get top 4.

This isn't really though though is it. There's been a few times under Ole, Jose and LVG when we've been made one signing only for another one to follow very quickly. When we announced Schweinsteiger and Scheiderlin a few years back is an example. We signed James and AWB also just a bit over 2 weeks from each other.

Real life transfers don't work like they do in FM and Fifa, especially for the bigger deals like Sancho.

Erm, we were in conversations with Palace and Swansea for like weeks before signing them.

If it takes 4 weeks to sign James and AWB with 0 competition then what hope have we got signings players with competition.

Unfortunately, we cannot beat teams to signings because we are not quick enough, simple as.

So far the glazers have put all the money on Tampa Bay bucs, including Tom Brady, Rob gronkowski and others

First time?

Every year I'm calm about it, being of the opinion that there's still a long time to go until the end of the window. Every year we feck it by taking too long and paying the same amount or not making the purchases we need.

Would be great if we showed some actual fecking ambition for once.

I have been hearing this since the Hlazers took over. Nothing ever happens

We are slow in transfer market. Just accept it. It was last year it will be this summer, next summer etc..
It is like it is. We will buy one or two players but not just yet

I'm a lot more relaxed than last summer. We desperately needed reinforcement then to even ensure top 4 where as now we've got a very good team.

I actually think this is the first summer since Sir Alex was here where we've not needed major signings. Anyone coming in now is to push for titles.

feel like this should be a sticky on every thread related to transfers or even match day threads.
Sums up the situation perfectly. Specially the Sancho thread.

Everyone is anxious (including those saying they are calm) but are trying to remain calm and telling others to relax.:lol:
But the situation (due to Covid and Dortmund's demands) is not calm at all and everything can easily go tits up.

We have about 1 month before the season starts. We better at least not waste this full month running behind Sancho and not signing anyone in the positions we really need reinforcements in, then go on a panic buy after season starts to cover the gabs by any means.

Why people can't understand that we don't have money. Or we have but we must save it because this covid shit will hit clubs in next season also.

I am trying to be realistic. Yes, United is not Glazers's toy. They look at us as business so they will not spend crazy money. And yes, Ed is not good negotiator. But they know how to manage our finances. If they think that we can spend only 50 mil for example, i respect that.
That is it. First transfer window where i am not a muppet. What happens, happens. I just want that we don't sell nobody from first 11. And that Pogba signs new contract. Because i really like our first 11

Remember all of the rumours back in March saying we saw lockdown as the opportunity to ‘flex our financial muscle’ this summer?
We did, we got Tom Brady & Rob Gronkowski for Tampa Bay

There’s actually a report in America that they did use United revenue money to get them.

3 weeks from the start of a new season you'd really have hoped for some business by now. I can smell the settling in excuses already. I know we have a week delay but even so we need as little learning on the job as possible

In before someone does the whole "it's only xxx time of the summer"

No Sancho. No Grealish. No squad depth. It's been ages since the window opened and Eddy Woody has made no progress. This is disgusting.

You had one job, Ed. Sheesh. Son is crying again - look at what you've done.

I wonder what the Glazers expect from Ole if they don't buy him what he needs this summer?

Ole should threaten to resign if the board doesn't sign players.

There is a real lack of options in the transfer market this window. Will be surprised if we make more than 2 signings and have no idea who or what positions they'll be.

A proper board would have had our targets lined up since January but you get the distinct feeling that our board are making it up as they go along.

Spend our whole summer chasing a player we have no intention of paying the fee for, whilst we lose very attainable players. Chelsea have signed some top players for very good value.

It's gotten to the point where it is inexcusable
