Worst United I’ve Ever Seen

We should prepare for relegation. It will do the club a world of good. The Premier League will probably suffer as United have the largest fan base so they will not let that happen. The whole thing needs a reset.

This is certainly up there but LVG was worse imo, I actually stopped watching us at some point with him.

We’d go under if we were relegated. It would bankrupt the club.

Yeah this is reaching LvG levels of cluelessness in attack, but without any of the control.

The squads are of course incomparable in terms of quality, but I expect more even with what we have.

Everything seems a struggle. Making simple passes looks hard. Actually controlling the ball looks like an effort for most of our players. We're second to every ball, so every team just plays one-twos around us like we are not even there. The finishing, though. Fecking hell, the finishing. The actual point of football is to score goals. At its core, it's a simple game. But, we over-complicate it and try to be too clever. Sometimes you have to just do the simple things like make the simple passes actually reach your players, and then control the ball when the ball comes to you.

Do our players actually work on this in their own time? If my finishing rate was as poor as Garnacho's and we are where we are in the league, you can beat your arse that I'd be working on my finishing and putting in the hours outside of the standard training time with the squad to actually work on this area. Every problem we have is actually, at its heart, a simple problem. We don't run enough to close players down, because our fitness is shit, our awareness of what's around us is shit, our mentality is shit, and our tenacity to win the ball back is shit. We will never, ever control games if we can't pass the actual fecking ball and keep hold of it.

Until relatively recently I used to think relegation will factory reset the football club but the most likely outcome of it is it will mark the end of Man United as we know it. It will bring about financial catastrophe like no other and it will be a long, long time until we taste any kind of success again.

We must not get relegated, whatever it takes.
