Worried about the Brighton Match Jan 19

First match I'm calling here, and I think we'll do them.

They are not really in good shape and I think off our previous performance, we should be up for this one. Right?

Brighton have probably been at least as good, or arguably even better in big games so far this season than against games where they played sides equal or worse than them.

I'm a bit pessimistic about today's game, and I'm someone who's usually the opposite.

Pessimistic given that Brighton are better than Southampton. And arguably the Rangers game is more important. But who can ever be sure about this rollercoaster?

If we put in another performance like we did against Southampton, we'll struggle.

How big a game is it for them? Aren’t we about equal at this point in time? They’re well above us end of Jan..

Very difficult game but aren't they all these days? Predicting a 2-1 defeat.

It's not the table that matters IMO. We won't sit back against them and we'll also press them. That seems to be the type of game-state in which they've done well this season with Hürzeler.

Brighton in shit form, typically, they’ll play like they’re in a cup final and beat us.

Some people looking silly now.

The thing is it wasn't even hard to predict, the past is often the greatest predictor of the future. We can only beat these lot if they're on holiday near the end of the season. That's 3 managers now that have come and got a result against us.

Brighton as a club are the antithesis of Manchester United, so it's quite funny to see them now dominated 3 games back to back at Old Trafford under 3 different managers.

I think they already reached their peak under de Zerbi and despite the result against a lacklustre Manchester United I think we'll see them slip away. I predict they'll end up like Wolves and Palace, clinging on to premier league survival and maybe doing but then maybe getting relegated.

Palace have hardly been clinging on. They've finished 12th, 11th and 10th the past three seasons. In fact, they've finished between 10th and 14th in all but one of the 11 seasons since they returned to the Premier League, with the odd one out being when they finished 15th in 2016. Currently sitting 12th. They're as solid a mid-table club as it gets really. There are much darker potential futures than that.
