Going for Spain to win, Costa to score anytime, Costa to be carded, over 2.5 goals, under 55.5 booking pts, under 12.5 corners @13.50
Had a similar bet with Spain to win to nil, Costa to score and ...Costa to get booked.

I know. Fecking infuriating! I've had about 10 bets just come up short by a single goal, corner or card!

After France, Belgium, Uruguay and Spain won I got Brazil (v Costa Rica), Belgium (v Tunisia) and England (v Panama) left on my €500 coupon. They are offering me a €1100 cashout, I can win €2200 if I let this roll.

I think I am willing to wait until the second half of Brazil v Costa Rica game. If they aren’t up by 1 after 60 minutes I will probably get offered €800 or so and will close. If they are ahead I will wait until the finish and then the cashout should be closer to €1400 which is good enough. Can’t see myself waiting until the Belgium game.

Nice bet Sarni.

Annoyingly I've cashed out 3-0 Belgium and 1-0 Spain last night to reduce profits both time. Oh well, a profit is a profit I guess.

What are everyone's thoughts on the value today?

Denmark vs. Australia and Argentina vs. Croatia seem a bit too close to call, while there's little value in France vs. Peru. I think France will win, but the games where teams run away with it are very few and far between right now. 9/20 games have been 1-0, with a further four games ending 2-1. Sitting on the fence with a draw doesn't seem worth it with only 3/20 games ending in a stalemate to this point. That leaves only 4/20 games with a 2+ goal deficit.

Denmark have a great defensive record, so unders in that game might be worth a shout.

The odds on Anytime Scorer for the Argentina forwards are surprisingly good as well.

Any insights into who will be the top scorer? Or is it in the bag for Ronaldo?

I put £80 on Spain to win and Costa top scorer @66/1. Payout is £5k+. The cashout is now like £250. I also have quite a bit of money on Spain outright and would ideally want to cash this out, but I'm wondering whether it will ever rise high enough. I feel inevitably Ronaldo will score against Iran, but Costa is up against Morocco who have nothing to play for. Both potentially face either Uruguay or Russia in the next round. (Or Kane/Lukaku might score a few too passing Costa).

Watching Spain last night I didn't feel like Costa was going to get a goal. He's good on the end of crosses and ball played to his feet where he can bully and turn players like he did for his first goal in the tournament. He wasn't getting many crosses with the ball just being shipped from wing to wing on the edge of the box all game. The goal was a bit of a fluke and I know he now has 3 in 2 games, I just feel like Ronaldo is more likely to be top scorer at this point.

Peru +1 Asian Line.

All the big teams are struggling to break teams down and score and they are knicking 1-0 wins, however it may be different for France as Peru seemed quite attacking in the last game and they may not sit back as they need a win. Depending on the price, could be worth a bet.

I expect Denmark to beat Australia, and Argentina to beat Croatia.

Seems like a poor offer considering Spain/Costa is generally about a 12/1 chance now, even available to lay at 14/1 on betfair, which makes the bet worth at least £350 right now. Since Morocco have nothing to play for, you might see the game being quite open, with plenty of goals but can't see Iran doing anything other than sticking 10 men behind the ball again like last night, so Ronaldo might get frustrated. He might also save himself a bit for the next round as he's well aware of the need to manage his fitness with so many games in a short period. Coupled with the fact that Spain should go further than Portugal in the WC, I'd say stick with it and see how the next couple of games evolve. As long as Spain are in the tournament, your bet is going to have a solid chance.

Messi to score anytime tonight surely. He must be frothing at the mouth to try and quiet everyone talking about Ronaldo and knocking him.

Think based on the stats and the general shape of games at World Cups backing 3 1-0s for the favourites could be the way to go, though Croatia 1-0 may be a good shout too.

Gone for this treble today:

Australia or Draw
France-Peru over 2.5 goals
Argentina win

France will score 2. I don't like their football but they'll find a way.

France do play dull football, despite having the likes of Griezmann and Pogba.

Imagine if we spent £150m on Griezmann and Varane and still served up dross performances.. :D

I watched some of their matches before this tournament. They're always dull and end up scoring 2-3 for unknown reason.
Deschamps is just like Mourinho tbh

Today I had:

[strike]Denmark to win[/strike]
France to win/Griezmann anytime
Eriksen/Messi both anytime
Arg v Cro = Both teams to score, Over 9.5 corners

After a bad start to the day I'm feeling hopeful.

Wasn't there a price boost for Mbappe and Griezmann to score on skybet? :nervous:

Well I banked on Messi scoring or assisting as well as a Modric assist. Put £15 on Croatia though so £20 down after winning earlier on France.

Not the end of the world.

Thanks, makes a lot of sense.

Close games tomorrow. The Iceland Nigeria match seems to be 2/1 for home or away win or draw. I think I’m going to go with Iceland.

I havnt done too bad the last few days just doing a results treble of the day’s games, although that Australia goal lost me the treble today.

Tomorrow I’m going ..
Brazil win
Iceland win
Serbia Swiss draw

I have decided to let this roll for now. I think Brazil should probably win against Costa Rica tomorrow and the cashout will grow to €1.4k or close. The more I think about the more I am inclined to at least watch the beginning of Belgium v Tunisia if Brazil win. If Belgium get a goal within the first 30 minutes the cashout will go above €1.5k easily and if they are still tied at 60th minute I should probably be able to get €1k then.

I am tempted now to let this go until the end actually.

Depending on Brazil's line up today I'm going big on:

Brazil to win
Belgium -1.5
England to win

If Neymar plays, Brazil has the beating of Costa Rica.

England should dispatch Panama with ease.

Belgium have good attacking talent and are up against Tunisia. Tunisia's 2-1 loss scoreline is flattering because England could have been up by 3 or 4 goals in the first half alone. They kept penetrating the Tunisia backline with ease.

Pays 3/1. Thoughts?

Brazil -1.5
Iceland double chance
~3/1
I think Brazil will smash Costa Rica as Neymar and Jesus have a point to prove in this WC.
Iceland are good enough to hold Nigeria.
