World Cup Betting Thread

After failing miserably so far I took a day off, and some of my 'would have put it on' bets came in. Sods bloody law.

I didn’t even check where they were playing to be honest, I can cash out but it’s still less than half the final winnings.

I’d prefer to be on the over 2.5 England win though now you’ve said. Might put that on in a double with something

I didn’t really look myself to be honest. They just did an interview earlier with Jermain Jenas on TV outside the stadium and they kept going on about how hot it was.
 
As I've Spain outright, I so wanted Germany out! But I'm happy for the many punters who had them today, especially the geezer who was going to be homeless! :D
 
I am now dithering about hedging the whole bet and taking home €1.7k instead of €2.2k. It seems silly though to give up on €500 when the only way I am going to lose any money on it now is if Panama win and if England win I get the €2.2k.

Seriously though, they should do it easy enough.

That is some crazy money you have got there. What was your accumulator in the first place?

I have gone England win to nil at 4/6, which I thought wasn’t bad. I almost went -1 but given our form for a low scoring game against rubbish teams I thought better of it. Last time we won a game by more than one goal at a major tournament was back in 2006! (If i have done my research right :nervous:)

I’m so nervous about it now. I can lose money anymore but not winning it would still hurt a lot. There’s a frustrating 0-0 on my mind.

I think hedging with €500 would suck too though because it would give the eventual victory a bittersweet feeling so it’s not an option. I either win €1.6k net or nothing.

This is England vs Panama. Panama..... While i agree there’s a chance it could be a low scoring game, England will win this game. If all you need is the result then i would let it ride. The only thing that could Traveller it up is England having a man sent off somehow, which could happen in any game you have a high stake in. Goodluck though. If i had £1000 winnings at stake on an England win today i think i would at least start the match. Can you cash out?

No cashout, I can hedge with Panama or draw but that would require me to put €500 on it thus taking it from the winning. That’s almost a third of my net winnings so not worth it IMO as then I would feel bad if England won comfortably and I knew I threw away €500 for nothing.

I have hedged for a draw though and get my full €500 stake back if it ends up a draw. That cost me just €100 from my winnings so was kind of reasonable I think to be less nervous about 0-0. I am not going to be bothered about €100.

Got a text with an offer there, bet £30 pre kickoff on England v Panama (minimum 1/2) get £60 in play.

Was torn between Kane anytime @ 1.54 and England to win the half @ 1.57

Went with England to win the first half.

No idea what to put the free bet on gonna do some studying!
 
Kane Brace 7/2 on SkyBet, 21/10 on B365 for comparison. I’ve stuck £30 on.

That earned me a £5 free bet which has gone on Kane goal, England 2+ goals and 2 Panama defenders carded at 40/1. It specifies the defenders I just can’t remember which ones haha

My god. Respect to you my friend. The stress and nerve you gotta deal with. On paper all this games seem like banker and you just gotta wonder how can this even go wrong but this World Cup has been so unpredictable, with all the big teams being so unconvincing and so many of these games were close games/late winners. I don't know how you even held on for this long. I'd probably have cashed out in the Brazil vs Costa Rica match within the last 5 minutes. I'm glad you didn't. Here's hoping for a big comfortable England win today so you can win your bet. You will be fine. If England can't even beat Panama, I really have no words to describe.

I'd like to say it's the luckiest I've been, but I got £900 off a Ronaldo goal that he clearly didn't touch back in April. I've been getting cashouts on people after they are subbed. I've won over £7k since the start of April and the amount of sheer jamminess is ridiculous. I'm on a hot streak.

The sensible part of my brain is saying take £600 out and leave the rest in for the rest of the tournament. The part of me that used to score volleys from other teams corners is telling me to stick the lot on Lewandowski any time.
