Wing Play !!

He´s fecking shite in the middle. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> Yeah he was only MOM in the CL final there.

But in one point. You are right, he should stay on the right as we don`t have another player on the right wing. It's not good if all players are in the middle and none on the wings. But it is SAF responsibilty to make shure that the players hold their positions.
If we would have another player on the right wing becks could easily play in the centre. Though there is no need to that, because we already have enough great central midfielder.

do you think he cuts in coz he's been worked out? read a good post above.. maybe its true. IF it is, its worse than i thought..


BTW scholes is a better tackler, better at short and possibley long passes, faster..plus he's got a better shot on him.. all this means he's a much better player than Becks.

veron's overall range of passing is better, so is his close control.


i've seen both player for many years, so i can judge..

and you've not anwered my question about Milan.. would you become an AC milan fan if he moved there?

He cuts in because he wants more influence on the game (as for england).

He is our most important player in terms of team drive and success. But in terms of individual class he is not among our 5 best players.

That is exactly the reason, why this discussion will lead to nothing. You think that your opinion (which you can have of course)is a fact and can only be the truth. You`re not interested how many people (fans,managers,journos etc.) have another opinion, you know it better. Because you watch football for years you know more than the people directly involved.
I can live with the fact that there are some jealousy people who think he is a lucky overrated one tricky as long as the majority and the experts know the truth. :D

I am an United fan for 15 years and Beckham is my favourite player. If he would play for milan, I would hope he does well, but I wouldn`t support them as a team.

Happy with the answer ?? I can`t still stand supporters like you, who think that their opinion is the law, because they know this game better than all other people. There are millions who watch football for years.

i;d keep giggs, still think he can offer alot.. like i said before i don't like the idea of selling coz players 'might' be passed it.. this way, we'll be left with a weaker squad and new players who no nothing about the club hence might find it hard to adapt.. however, if we intergrate new younger players to the current squad, then the transition will be smoother IMO.

i think you mentioned before that selling cole, stam and even teddy was a good idea based on finances..however, we could have done with cole, and even stam at the beginning of last season.

and giggs will be a tough to replace IMO.. (local talented lad who was a united fan)

I'd have tried to have got Duff and Ayala over the summer, then sold Giggs this coming summer if he lost the battle for the left-wing with Duff. We're still not sure yet if Giggs just needs a greater challenge, but I am sure he's much slower than he used to be. Its better business sense too to buy before selling otherwise clubs make you pay through the nose if they know you're desperate for their player.

well iam not too sure if Duff is all that TBH..

and i think giggs should be given the chance to fight for his place... every player has to move on..and giggs' turn will come..but i hope its at the right time.

He's 4th in the Opta Most Completed Dribbles or Runs, and Giggs isn't in the top 10 for that this year. Fernandes is 1st. I can't think of many better traditional left-wingers.

But the OPTA Stats are shite because Becks was in the OPTA Team of the year in last 4 seasons. And all here know how poor, overrated, found out etc. he is. :D

Joe Cole and Thierry Henry. Below him are Berkovic, Greening :eek: , Gronkjaer, Bridge, Gray, Wiltord.

No one compares to Giggs at his best, so sadly whoever replaces him won't be quite as good, but as long as he's one of the world's current best, that'll have to do. :)

Shure they are, because only the fair, objective and always correct opinion of some almighty people like giggzy show the truth. They are chosen to explain football and who's good and who's not at it for the stupid world.
 
Opta stats are just the facts added together. Can't argue with goals scored, and I presume they don't fix the assists, passing accuracy, tackles won etc.

Ask any brazilians or south europeans, if they think that keane is in terms of INDIVIDUAL CLASS and SKILLS a better player than Giggs,Scholes,Beckham,Veron or Ruud. I doubt you will find one.
But I also said that Keane is our most important/missed player in terms of team success, because he is probably the best leader in world football and brings the best out of the other players.

How would u define class and skills then? How would you know he doesnt have a repertoire of skills that would not rival your fantasy player, Mr Beckham? Just because Keano's the player who does most of the ball winning in the middle of the park.. and Beckham can swing his crosses in from the side last time???

Just like u postulate that NO single S.europeans or Brazilians would think Keano has class nor skills above Beckham, it should be fine for me to say that most managers would die to have Keano in their team rather than Mr Beckham. :rolleyes: Less a certain ex-Irish manager... ;)

I just can`t stand some here, who think that only their opinion is the truth. These people think they can ignore all facts, opinions from experts or poll results just because they have 10000 posts and spend half their life here.
