Wimbledon 2015

Got Kyigios on now. Those Aussies behind him are annoying. Will probably switch over to Sharapova and see how she's doing a little later

I recommend Zverev vs. Kudla. Most exciting german prospect I've seen in many years. Won his first round match, his first GS match ever, in 5 sets after cramping and puking. The boy got guts!

You know, I'll just give this kid a watch. I've can't find my phone right now, when and which court is he due to play on?

Just started, court 8. :)
Don't expect too much, though. He should be pretty fatigued.

Nice and all good. Not really enjoying Kyrgios - Monaco match

Well, looks like I won't be watching it then. BBC not showing it.

Haas rewinds the clock and wins the 3rd set tiebreaker with some spectacular backhand passing shots.

Cilic - Berankis deep into the 5th set. Only recently put it on but sounds like it has been decent.

A. Ivanovic also a set down

The Cilic match was pretty good I thought. So was the Venus - Putintseva match.

No real shocks today for me. Looking forward to some of the later round clashes that look to be looming. I'm curious as to who can stop Novak this tourney though. Possibly Stan of course in I think the semi's if he gets there and maybe Murray can finally book another win in the finals. Besides that he's got a pretty smooth road after his tricky opener.

Djokovic will barely drop a set between now and the final, one of the big servers like Anderson or Isner might nick a tie-break against him but apart from that he won't be troubled. Could work for or against him, he'll most likely be fresher than his opponent in the final but Murray on grass is a huge step up from Wawrinka or Raonic.

Some good matches today, Nadal vs Brown should be entertaining.

Sorry but roughly how many hours away is Nadal v Brown? On my mobile, inconvenient to visit any other site beside RedCafe.

Last on Centre Court.

First up is McHale vs Lisicki (currently 5-2 in the first set)
Second is Querrey vs Federer

Maybe in about 3 hours, not really good at predicting the length of matches

This American Mchale has been really good. Dominating lisicki right now.

Ward to play Pospisil or Fognini in the 3rd round. Pospisil currently 2 sets up. Win that and a potential 4th round match against Nadal.

It seems every year some idiot complains about having to wear white, this year it's Bethanie Mattek-Sands (who i'd never heard of till her win). How about this, if you don't like the rules of the tournament, don't enter it.

I love the no-colours rule, it's part of what makes Wimbledon special, historical and unique.

With the way things are today, I expect a huge shitstorm against wimbledon under some bullshit hashtag (#rainbowwimbledon) after which they remove it. Which would be shame, I quite like not having to see the awful shirts and dresses some pros wear for 2 weeks.

First set Roger against that ace machine Querrey. 6:4.

Federer looking alright now. That defensive, short angled slice + backhand drive volley

I do hope the Social Justice Warriors don't have that much power. If they do we truly are living in bleak times.

Didn't Federer also complain about it?

‘I like the outfit, I went through a bright spell these first few months of the season,’ said the Swiss, who was wearing a purple shirt and electric-orange shorts during his 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 first-round win over Columbia’s Alejandro Falla here in Paris.

‘Obviously that’s going to change when Wimbledon comes around, because rules have become ridiculously strict over there,’ he added.

HOLY feck!!!

Edit: An another. Federer going nuts!

Quote Federer, 2014:
"My personal opinion, I think it's too strict. If you look at the pictures of Edberg, Becker, there was some colours, you know, but it was 'all white'.
"But I respect. I understand. Maybe one day they'll loosen up the grip again a bit, but that's the time we go through right now."

So he's not for abolishing the rule, but for going back to the old rule of thumb of "90% white" or something like that.

They made Federer change his shoes in 2013 because they had orange soles, that was pretty funny/ridiculous.

Meanwhile, Federer is playing like he's entered the 2006 god mode cheat.

Ready for the Dreddy  The only german hope left.

Also took Nadal apart last year in Halle. He has to stop overdoing it with the stops, though.

Federer and Nadal seem to have skipped "post-peak late career dilligence" and gone straight to "retirement exhibition mode"...Brown's great fun to watch too.

I wonder how many more times they'll mention he has cool hair. I might start a sweepstake.

Dustin Brown has got to be my favourite player on tour.

But watching Nadal is jut painful these days, I don't think he's even at 25% of what he once was.

I've never seen him play before. This is the most entertaining thing to happen in tennis since Becker!

How long before Nadal does an Agassi and shaves his head then claims it's because it's 'aerodynamic'?

Wow who is this guy? Some amazing shots, and he looks like he's playing stoned.
