Nice to see him get a small cameo. Looked taller than I remembered.

I was pretty sure it was the goalkeeper who blocked Jones' shot on the goal line and not him.

I was only watching on a shit stream (at work) but the look on his face suggested it was him and not the 'keeper.

Top talent, great finisher and very good link up player. It was telling for me that he and not Diouf came on to help us try and score.

At worst it looked like a co-op, but I thought I saw the goalie getting a foot on that too.

It wasn't him that blocked it on the line. And he was not bad on the field either.

He looks like a talented young striker. Unfortunately though, with the array of attacking options we have, I can't see him making it here. Still, there's no harm in him being given a chance to prove himself.

He'll make it here, I'm confident of that. He's only 18 and Berba and Owen won't be here forever.

I know they don't have much longer left, but it's the other options we have. Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck are all here to stay. If Keane's any good, I doubt he'll want to spend a good few years of his career as a 4th choice striker.

Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, Solskjaer. Having 4 class strikers is no problem, he's been with us for a long time so he'll be determined to make it here.

That was the case in that instance, but it's not always the case. We were lucky to be able to rotate a lot back then, but if we have a front two of Rooney and Hernandez, for example, who stay fit, and keep on playing well, then chances are that Keane's chance will be limited. If that happened, he could end up becoming unhappy with his lack of action. I doubt he'd want to be limited to cup games and the odd league game.

Rotation is a massive part of the game, even if he's 4th choice he'll get a chance look at Berba now.

Looks really good for a recovering rent boy, credit to him and his change of lifestyle.

Exactly. Berbatov has only started to get chances this season, despite the fact that Rooney has had injury problems, has slotted into midfield, while Hernandez has also had plenty of injury problems himself. Could you imagine if someone like Keane was 4th choice when we had no injuries up front? I could envisage him becoming unsettled, because any young player is going to want to be a starter at their respective club.

No injuries doesn't mean the 3 ahead of him will be bang in form does it?

They were rotated. Not something SAF does with Rooney. If he's 100% fit he plays.

As he gets older though it might be something we need to do, not on the scale of Giggs but burn out is always a worry with Wayne.

With Kiko going on loan and Owen permanently being a crock, he'll get plenty of chances in the months. Good to see he's ahead of Diouf in the pecking order.

doubt it.......there still rooney, berbatov, hernandez and welbeck.

Diouf may move on, Owen only has a couple of years left at most and the likes of Macheda haven't been overly impressive. I wouldn't be surprised of he was. Regular first teamer within 2 or 3 years.

He's a lovely footballer. Really stylish.

I think he's got a great chance of making it.

I was too occupied being frustrated and nervous so I didn't even realize he was on the pitch until that block.

He's technically great, hopefully once he starts maturing physically we'll see more of him.

Fantastic talent.

Very clever movement and overall game intelligence, excellent touch and control, plus a record of scoring goals at youth and reserve level.

He's got every chance.

I think we're starting to see the fruits of Rene's training methods with some of these lads. I believe Welbeck and Cleverley were part of his class. Can't wait until he takes the pitch again.

As he gets older? If he keeps on maintaining his current level, then he's probably got another five or six years ahead of him as a regular. I doubt Keane will still be willing to sit around and do absolutely nothing when he's approaching his mid 20s. He'll be desperate for some first team action.

Exactly, that was my point.

And he was a much better player than Will Keane.

So I wouldn't be "confident" of anything when it comes to young strikers here.

Too early to say Imo, Rossi at 18 vs Keane at 18 not a hell of a lot of difference for me. Rossi was more clinical, but Keane has more height which in future when he bulks up could add an aspect to his game which Rossi would never be able to have.
