Will fans enjoy ETH’s brand of football

Maybe the real fun is coming on here and moaning about his rubbish we are. I’ve forgotten how to enjoy football.

LVG's football by numbers was shockingly boring.

Moaninho's "football" was even worse.

Winning but playing puke football is not something the fans would tolerate for any more than a season at most.

In what world was that considered winning football?

Never said it was.

None of it was really winning football, they won a few minor trophies but it was some of the ugliest and most boring football ever witnessed.

LVG slowed down the game when it should have been moving faster, we are still seeing the hangover from that. This continued under Jose, where he just banked on defending deep and looking for breaks, in possession it was still the same pedestrian passive football as LVG. For the most part this was the same under Ole, where the counter attacks were the only exciting moments. In possesion it was slow, static and depressing. Even under RR, in possession it's the same slow passing with very little movement.

There's no way fans would accept an even worse style of football football if it meant slightly better results.

Peps football is brilliant. Any neutral would say the same. The only reason people say otherwise on here is because he's the city manager. Had we been playing that type of football, we'd be ecstatic.

I think there's also a number of salty fans who was annoyed United lost 2 finals to Barca. And how he can only win trophies because he has the best team in the world.

It's very subjective. Many neutrals would agree that Pep's teams are boring. Bayern under Heynckes were spectacular, but with Pep it became boring (for me). Pep's teams kill the opposition with possession and tactical fouls. I think Klopp's style is far more entertaining and those matches are more fun to watch.

I do agree if United would play that style the fans would be ecstatic, because United have been shit for too long and Pep's style is a winning formula.

I think Ten Hag's style is more Heynckes than Pep, but we will have to see if he's able to make the team play to his liking.
No argument there.

"Our team plays too much like a Guardiola team" sounds like one of those good problems.
