Wilfred Zaha on a freebie?

We can get him for 25% less than nowt with the sell-on clause.

Hes actually pretty good but not sure as a central option.

The only way I could see it is if he can play as a backup striker. If Martial leaves there is possibly a space, even if Hojlund or similar comes in.

But then that would beg the question of why we wouldn't simply buy a frontline backup striker rather than converting an aging wide player.

Perhaps swayed by getting a chance to play in a European Cup, are they not in the CL or in a qualifier?

Still it must've been a lot of money to turn down if Saudi was in for him.

He's a highlight player. Will score a great goal every 10 games and be average for the rest of them.

How many wingers/inside forwards do we need? We only have Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, Diallo, Pellestri, Greenwood with Bruno, Martial and Mount also able to play there. They are not collectible cards, but players that should get game time.

Feck knows why he’s going to Galatasaray he’s much better than that (no disrespect)

Whoever advises Wilf must be a complete moron. He signed a new deal at Palace when a lot of big clubs was after him and now he’s free he’s off to Turkey. He’d be a good signing for most teams in the PL

Would be perfect for West ham.. Guaranteed starter.

Yeah I’m surprised them or Newcastle aren’t taking a proper look. Turkey just feels like a weird move for him

Not that attractive a league and not going to paid more than he would in the prem - if it’s money he wants then stay in the Prem or go Saudi.

Probably going down a level so he looks better, as he's flattered to deceive in the prem every season since leaving us.

This is pretty crazy if you think about Palace were quoting 100m for him just couple seasons ago.

I'd have him for an options if we do go and get Hojlund who is very inexperienced. He is a drama merchant but can be very handy player in the right set up.

Seems harsh, he is inconsistent for sure but he can be a nightmare for the opposition on his day and at times has had to carry the palace attack single handedly

They made him the focal point of attack and the whole team accommodated him, yet he only ever hit 15 goals in a season once. They were also paying him 130k a week as well, so he's just never been worth what he valued himself at.

I would get him but I know he's going to date Moyes' daughter again and lose his football focus.

Was always too inconsistent for a big club. But then so are the players that we've had on the flanks for the last few years.

I’m seriously struggling to work out why he’s gone to Galatasaray. It seems like the weirdest of all the choices he could have made? Maybe he just really likes going on holiday to Turkey.

Maybe he spoke to some former United coaches to see what they thought? Chris Armas voting for Turkey?

Considering they’ve never really been that close to relegation, I’d say he’s been doing fine.

I agree, fine is a good description. Nothing more than that though. Looking at Eze and Olise having the same sort of impact for the fraction of the cost is why he's now at Galatasary.

Olise scored two goals last season, hardly comparable. Zaha wouldn’t have been on £130k at 21 either. Eze is doing great but will obviously command a much higher wage when he signs his next contract.

Amazed he turned down Lazio.

Playing under Sarri would've suited his style and they're in the CL aswell.

11 assists though, was more what they bring to the team, sorry I didn't really make that clear. Of course, but I'm saying no one would pay a fee + big wages for Zaha and it's not worth Palace renewing on the wage he's on considering what they've managed to get out of players like Olise and Eze.

111 Goal contributions in 305 games. He basically scored or assisted every 3 games. I would guess Ooutside of Salah, Mahrez, Stirling, Rashford etc theres now winger from the teams below 5th/6th that comes close to him.

Not sure where you're getting numbers from, but if I take Barnes, Bowen, Jota (before Liverpool) they all come out better.
