Another game, another shit performance.
How long are you willing to wait ?And that's fair enough, so let me try and address your questions directly
(1) Given the plethora of data at the disposal of managers today and the general outlook of sports casters and fans alike, I do agree that in the short term that a player led system with less cog like efficiency is likely to produce results only if the players that are given that freedom are within the top 5% of their roles. Having players that are below this level leads directly to less favourable positions and ineffective results. I'd argue that we're dealing with that though and that given time and patience we will fill in those areas that are lacking and come good. Others dont' want to wait for that or have no faith of it coming good, I get that, but I didn't grow up with instant gratification and I've never really fallen into that world... those who have are never going to wait.
(2) I believe he can do it yes, I could be wrong but thus far whilst his results have not yet gained us silverware they have shown a continuous (albeit slow) improvement from the moment he took over. One might argue that there are others who could have produced results faster, indeed there are those who argue that this is as far as the current management can take us but I've yet to see why exactly that is. Whilst improvement may be slow, slow improvement is usually the type that sticks for longer too. So I'll be patient.
Finally, as for invoking Sir Alex, I didn't... he'd been brought up already in this thread as a rod to beat the manager with, I simply pointed out that the manager sets himself up to play in a particular way and that unless you can find another manager that sets up the same way but with better results. I'm happy to keep the one we have... as has already been observed by many, the alleged top managers in the world right now all play football that we as a club have shunned and disliked as a fan base for years. If this is the best manager for our style and setup, then we should keep going with it until either a) we win something and everyone gets behind him or b) someone else with the same format comes available that has a better record than our current manager.
But we just needed a new CB right? One clean sheet in 19 games.
How long are you willing to wait ?
and what improvements has he actually made?
Most of our rival’s fans are praying that we keep Ole on as long as possible.I have avoided the thread like the plague. I don't see any Ole in fans as real fans at this stage. Have to be trolls or deluded fools. Don't give "..but but SAF did..." as excuse.
Says all really. I was praying for Pool to keep Rodgers and he is miles better than Ole.Most of our rival’s fans are praying that we keep Ole on as long as possible.
His post is mentalSome people's heads are so buried in the sand, it's almost traumatic. Like Stockholm Syndrome.
He's our Arteta. Most of our rival’s fans are praying that we keep Ole on as long as possible.
Inexcusable with the money spent and the talent in the squad. It’s all on Ole. Stupid decisions, unbalanced midfield, lack of any cohesion. Playing like absolute strangers! That is totally, 100% on the coach.
He needs to go NOW to save the season. Anyone backing him at this stage is actively working against what is best for the club.
It’s not up for debate anymore, the quality of football couldn’t be any worse for the standard of players we have.
If you care at all, it is impossible not to be angry. Yet, caring is now seen as a negative on the forum.
There is a massive difference between abusive posters and those who have just seen and felt for a long time that he isn’t the right man. It doesn’t make you any better than the latter to still be supporting him at this stage.
Ole out…today

An English one at that, so that Harry can communicate better. But we just needed a new CB right?
So what the f*** is positive in being beaten by Villa and Leicester, struggling against lowly European sides, spending in excess of £400 m and no trophies in Ole’s tenure? You’re correct
, we will be negative again.I see us being knocked out of the CL and being humiliated by the Scousers and City if things continue as they are.
we should be ok for Atalanta
Have you seen them play in the past couple years? We're in for a treat, if we keep playing like that.
It’s only 1 more game, but if we’d lost 1-0 I wouldn’t be as worried, but we lost 4-2, after going 1-0 up too.
As a passionate member (haha! Member) Ole In side of the debate, even I am starting to worry what is going on at the club.
Genuinely concerned for the Liverpool game, we should be ok for Atalanta, but even that’s going to be tough.
I still want them to stick with Ole, but things need to change & change fast!
I fear we are gonna get spanked by Liverpool….

why?
He wouldn't be better than either. SAF struggled before he retired.Come on. The great man retired in 2013. Its not like football has completely changed the last 8 years, or are you implying that if Fergie was in charge still he would get humiliated by Klopp and Pep
Imagine thinking people are only forming their opinions after 7 games instead of 2 and a half seasons of utter dross
He won the fecking league in his last seasonHe wouldn't be better than either. SAF struggled before he retired.
If not changing the manager, then what exactly do you propose is changed at this point? It’s only 1 more game, but if we’d lost 1-0 I wouldn’t be as worried, but we lost 4-2, after going 1-0 up too.

Why stop at January? Give him two more years. Ole is bigger than United for some of the crowd so not surprised there. He shouldn’t be sacked after that, Leicester are a good side, but questions should be asked now.
Give him till January, but even then it may be too late.
Questions should be asked about coaching/tactics, can we get better coaches in to help out.
Ronaldo, Pogba are going to be asking these questions, so I expect the board will too
Yes probably the worst PL season there has been. We were miles behind teams internationally, often being totally irrelevant in the CL. Now the PL has improved, competition is too good now.He won the fecking league in his last season
Signs of trouble in the Ole’s cult club.If not changing the manager, then what exactly do you propose is changed at this point?
You fear we may get spanked by Liverpool, but want the manager to remain for this fixture.
I am confused with your logic.
Oh please. United's squad isn't that bad as you make it look. What CB situation? Maguire, Varane, Lindelöf is absolutely quality. DM is a problem, yes, but nothing that could be fixed by a different setup.I think the knee jerk is knowing that there is limited scope for something to change, our DM/CM situation and CB situation is not a quick fix, we have no players to change it unless we play somebody like Lindelof out of position as DM, so next game, and the game after we will see the same mistakes which cost against Leicester and that have been prevalent all season.
