Why is Scholesy banned?

Not much effort really, the search engine is working very well lately:

And here's one where you call Scholesy up on his tendency that many in here have stated as the main reason why he always caused a fuss:

That's hardly abuse, is it? As I'm sure you noticed during your jaunt through my posts, there's more posts sticking up for him than calling him a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime, a quote you culled half of by the way to make it look worse. Well done though.

I've evidently read them GB, and I don't have a clue where you'd get such an impression from

One of the things he's been accused of is making a point, then not backing it up. So lets rise above it, because I am curious and wonder if I've missed something, what is it that's convinced you he's not a United supporter?

things he has posted in the past

however, im not going to trawl through 3 years of posts to back my opinion up. Its the impression I got from him

On topic, he had more than enough chances, I've pm'd him god knows how many times, as has the likes of Sultan. He's been removed from the United forums at times, been sent back to the newbies, and yet will continue with posting an opinion usually which is so far against the grain that one can only conclude that he's taking the piss.

I thought he was a wum from day one, but let him slide. Shoulda banned him before he'd even left the newbies

I don't really wanna get my hands dirty too much as I made me feelings clear at the start of the thread when it was just a temp ban but the decision to make it permanent is well out of order. It was questionable he'd deserved the temp ban and he's certainly done nothing wrong since then to deserve it being made permanent. I'm amazed Sults is the mod behind it too. That probably shocked me more than anything else.

I agree with Brad on pretty much everything he's said in this thread.

I don't really understand why I'm deluded to think he's a United supporter, when you've nothing to hand to show anything indicating why he isn't, and in fact would required the inclination to trawl through 3 years of posts to find anything. I'd say the evidence that he posts on Redcafe, says he's a United fan, makes thousands of posts about United, including the reserves, probably indicates he very much is a United fan

If he's being judged on this level of evidence, what possible chance did he ever have?

Chance of what? This isn't related to his banning.

I dont doubt he watched a lot of United games

but if i had to put money on it, he was actually a Tottenham fan

absolutely correct, Sultan has been outstanding in his handling of this affair and this site would be better if some of the more arrogant and sychophantic mods could handle things in a similar manner.

the majority of the mods on this site do a sterling job but there are one or two who in my mostly ignored and irrelevant opinion are unsuitable for the position.

Only a couple months back Sults was about to ban you because he thought you were johnmufc, and now you're all palsy?

Something fishy going on. I'm on to you, Sults.

just out of interest and mostly through a distinct can´t be arsedness in regards to trawling back through the thread to find out myself, why was the ban changed from temp to permanent?

because Sults, like the rest of us is a Nazi forum dictator

I dont think so, he didnt really post that much about Spurs other than his love affair with Modric, and flirtings with Huddlestone

You've told me the consensus is he's a WUM. I don't really see it, I just think he had opinions that didn't always match everyone elses (sometimes they did). You seem pretty strongly resolute on this. Nothing in his last 100 posts shows this, no ones posted anything which unequivocally tells us this, all I keep hearing is heresay about how poor he supposedly was. From mods mostly, most posters have said he's harmless or a nice guy

If we're wrong ok, be nice to see something that shows us we're wrong. When GB is so certain he's not a United supporter, when it seems pretty obvious that he is, you wonder how sure we can be that this WUM idea is also correct

" I envy Spurs' midfield '.

" Arsenal second best front 6 in the world after barcelona ".

" Why cant we play like barcelona ".

" I reaally want us to play like barcelona ".

I reckon he started out as a united fan and fell out of love with united for the past couple of seasons or so.

And If you think he didnt do this to delibrately provoke the majority on here, then you're mistaken, highly.

Appreciating other teams is one thing but constantly jizzing over other teams while berating most of what anyone does at united is not.

Are any of those statements that controversial? I think I agree with at least three of them myself!!!

Those views really arent that far out there, the third one posted is actually a fact.

I'm of the opinion that he started off as a 'normal' poster. I.e, he genuinely wanted to discuss football and not wind people up. However he did have some, somewhat, strange views (I seem to remember it all starting off with players not being able to improve on technique?). But as far as I was concerned he was a genuine United fan and not a WUM. However as time went on I think he just started to realise that people were never going to come to his way of thinking so just came out with more and more ridiculous 'opinions' in order to get reactions. It's got to be said, as time went on, he was coming out with stranger and stranger things.

Its a shame really, because when he wasn't (imo) wumming, even though his opinions were strange, they were quite interesting to read. But he almost became a parody of himself over the last 6 months or so. And the fact he would never back up his claims but just post them then leave the thread and not return really does indicate he was wumming. Had be backed up all his bizzare claims then a) it would have shown why he thought them in the first place and would have been eaiser to understand where he was coming from. and b) indicate that he wasn't actually wumming.

So all in all, he really didn't help himself.

Do you want us to play like Barcelona ? I certainly do not. Its a pity when people dont realize how we differ from barca, admirably so.

Again Brad you're arguing for the sake of it, its not the content in the aforementioned posts, its the fact that that is all that is there to Scholesy on here.

" I envy Spurs' midfield '.

Look at the amount of complaints about our midfield, spurs do have a good midfield, how is that a ridiculous statement?

" Arsenal second best front 6 in the world after barcelona ".

They're definitely right up there, I don't see how it is ridiculous.

" Why cant we play like barcelona ".

" I reaally want us to play like barcelona ".

Most people do, being one of the exceptions I should know, so how is it ridiculous?

In that case ban most of the football forums.

In your opinion, without being inside the lads head you cannot prove it.

None of that is evidence he wasn't a United supporter.

He might have been a bit of an oddball, and he might not have supported United the way you seem to have needed him to, but this thread is 10 pages long now, and an awful lot of posters who don't normally get involved have objected sensibly to the permanent banning.

I always assumed everyone always thought the same as me - he came across as mildly barmy but there was nothing deliberate or sinister about it. Maybe the football forums will be better off in some senses without him but there's enough posters raising reasonable concerns in here to suggest he'd ingrained himself into Caf culture somehow.

Did you even understand what I meant there ? I think not.

No-one is denying him appreciating other teams, but when thats all he does, then its a bit of a question mark.

He finds all the patience within himself or urges others to do so in case of Delfuenso. But he's overly critical of some of the talents we have on our hands, those who need patience themselves, except for Norwood maybe.

Its a pity if people want us to play like Barcelona, far as i know United have always had their own style for which they're admired.

Its not ridiculous when you think Arsenal are up there, its ridiculous when you suggest there's a big gap between arsenal's front 6 and the rest, including us and chelsea which he always has stated.

I think this thread's a fairly standard one for Scholesy, tell me he isn't being deliberately controversial to gain attention?

https://www.redcafe.net/f7/tom-cairney-285293/

Starts off by saying he's going to sign for one of the top clubs very soon, and he knows this by watching the highlights v Chelsea.

Then, when challenged, he says that his technique is better than 95% in the league. And then reiterates that you can't improve your technique.

At no point does he back up his point, he just makes other related but even more controversial ones.
