The vast amount of murder porn crime docs will always ensure a loyal demographic.
I think its the only streaming service with a real future.
It takes me about 2 weeks to catch up on a years worth of Apple content. A monthly subscription just doesn't make sense for what they're selling. Convenience and goodwill is the only reason to stay subscribed. Which is fine when they're throwing truck loads of money at the best actors and directors to build the platform but wont end well when they look to start clawing the money back.
Disney doesn't have the width of selection for a general audience. Which is kind of funny after spending billions buying up every franchise thats ever existed. Its a subscription for young kids, which they could have probably sold with just the old disney cartoons really.
Prime will survive by virtue of being attached to amazon. Its not very good, they make feck all. Consumers probably wouldn't miss it if it was gone. The industry I guess would because its one less person to throw money into a black hole.
Netflix make mountains of crap but they make as many good shows as apple at their best along the way. They make a lot of random, niche stuff that just wouldn't get made elsewhere. They add stuff to it every week. They still probably have the best selection of movies unless you want to watch Napolean every night for the next 6 months.
Streaming tv as an idea would survive without Prime or Disney or even Apple. It wouldn't without Netflix.
Max isn't available in europe at the moment. Think HBO are stuck in a contract with sky. It looks good.I think Max is the direction in which the successful streaming model will move to in the future. An existing brand (HBO) containing the entire previous HBO catalogue, alongside news, sports, and original programming. But never so much content that one gets lost searching for something only to realize they can't find anything useful, and always prioritizing quality over quantity. Netflix is of course not going anywhere either, but has a lot more risk exposure because streaming is their only prominent source of revenue.
Are you sure about that?I think its the only streaming service with a real future.

Its been ages since i've subscribed but at the time you'd look through their 'horror' category and it'd would contain films like Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before Christmas. It would list things like zodiac under it. Basically it'd be padded to hell because if they removed them they'd be left with about 4 films 2 of which are shit and no one will watch more than 20 minutes of. Even when they release something like the new predator film its has a 15 or a 12 rating or something. Its not really a horror movie. Are you sure about that?
Disney along with Paramount are probably going to end up the biggest players in this arena because of their back catalogues and the myriad of other companies they own
Diseny bought 20th Century Fox and a whole bunch of othephicr stuff including National Geographic.
It is available in several European countries. Not that it is very important information either way.Max isn't available in europe at the moment. Think HBO are stuck in a contract with sky. It looks good.
Yeah, I checked that after posting, just UK and Ireland at this point by the looks of things. It is available in several European countries.
Watched all three eps today.....that man is guilty as feck. Divorce would of been a better option. Sure she would of gotten everything, but at least he would of been free. He's never getting out. He clams he told her about his affair but why would he if he was just going to kill her anyways?Half way through ep2 of the Laci Peterson documentary. Hooked on it so far. In my opinion, when Netflix get their documentaries right, they're very good.
RedCafePlus has a bright future. Live match reaction faces, Cam Girls, post match quibbling, and a dedicated WW show. Only £20/month.I think its the only streaming service with a real future.
Paramount just wrote down $9 billion of its valuation based in large part on abandoning their subscription services, with over 2,000 jobs cut from the TV division last week. Are you sure about that?

I just finished it like 10 mins ago! It's just your comdedy spy hokum, not good, not bad, just mildy entertaining, I quite enjoyed seeing some of the early bits which were filmed around Fitzrovia where I used to work about 25 odd years agoWatching The Union rn with Marky Mark and Halle Berry. Absolute shite.
That's ultimately the problem Netflix has, if it doesn't create it's own content it's screwedWhat stalled getting into streaming for me was the limited rights, things that used to be on netflix got removed a long time ago as others wanted to get in on the act and some stuff was never on UK netflix. I would look up other TV or movies, it was part of another service and often not even streamable there, so if you subscribed to whatever you still couldn't watch it and had to pay a one off fee to purchase, probably deemed too good.
That's ultimately the problem Netflix has, if it doesn't create it's own content it's screwed
In the future, anything made by Disney or Fox is going to only be on Disney +, anything made by the other big studios such as Paramount or Universal are only going to be on whichver streaing service froup they are part of
Some network shows will always get re-licensed, it might depend on who actually owns them, not all shows are actually owned by the network they're shown on.Well initially I thought that would the case and did understand Netflix's strategy of creating lots of original content irrespective of quality but now I am not so sure infact I am certain lots of other network shows which were taken off earlier are back on it .
I can't remember the last time I watched anything even half decent on Netflix whether film , television or documentary.
Everytime I scroll through what's new it is just so depressing how terrible everything they have seems.
Their films and shows are just woeful, poor quality in their making and terrible acting.
Who are greenlighting their ideas recently? I can only imagine they Google what's trending at the minute and try and jump on that bandwagon with an idea. Then they get people to make that happen who have no clue what they are meant to be doing and cast the same bland people based on looks rather than any acting skills.
It pains me as a hater of all things Apple how much better Apple's shows are in every single measurement.
Disney plus also has much more of an idea what they are doing and even Prime Video have a far superior selection of films to go through.
Netflix though just had nothing of interest and I'm sick off getting emails from them saying hey we just added some shows you may like. No you fecking haven't. You just added more absolute nonsense and boredom.
It'd be a bigger problem if Disney etc were putting their movies on a competitive platform in a timely manner. They dont, they're quite slow to add that stuff. You can rent it on google for a good month before it gets added. That's ultimately the problem Netflix has, if it doesn't create it's own content it's screwed

i quite like some of it.
Tell me some shows you like or have enjoyed and i might be able to reccomend something from netflix?
I agree - he's definitely guilty. Nevertheless, it did irritate me how many of the interviewees (not just the cops, but a criminal investigative profiler) used the fact that he refused a polygraph test as proof that he was guilty. We all know polygraph tests are bullshit.Watched all three eps today.....that man is guilty as feck. Divorce would of been a better option. Sure she would of gotten everything, but at least he would of been free. He's never getting out. He clams he told her about his affair but why would he if he was just going to kill her anyways?
Netflix isn't a bad app, lots to choose from on there but their movies are shite. I have yet to see a great film from Netflix.
I liked annihilation and leave the world behind. Theres probably loads moreI agree - he's definitely guilty. On a side note, it's mad how much the documentary reminded me of Gone Girl. The public attention, the way the narrative played out in the media. He even looks like Ben Affleck!
You're right - I don't think I've seen a good Netflix original film yet. They should stick to what they're good at.
Think were still suffering from the writers strike and there just isn't much out at the moment in general. Is there any good streaming services left? With all this choice and variety I still struggle to find anything to watch and regularly rewatch other shows I’ve enjoyed, to death.
I just watched it. A poor imitation/cross between mission impossible and good will hunting. The dialogue left a lot to be desired but still, mindless enough entertainment.I just finished it like 10 mins ago! It's just your comdedy spy hokum, not good, not bad, just mildy entertaining, I quite enjoyed seeing some of the early bits which were filmed around Fitzrovia where I used to work about 25 odd years ago
WWE has been shite since like 2008.But atleast they will be showing WWE in the New year.
This! It actually becomes quite stressful trying to find something!I’ve cancelled my subscription recently. I spent more time trying to find something to watch than actually watching something.
