Okay so next Month see's the release of FIFA 08 and October see's the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 on all the major games consoles and PC.


Who's getting which one and Why?



I'm probably gonna get both for the PS3.

I have never played PES actually.But after after hearing a lot of people say that its better than Fifa I intend to buy it this time.
 
Fifa is looking awesome this year but i still think Pro Evo will be the better game. I mean it has owned FIFA for like 5-6 years on the trot now.

My one bug bare with PES is the licencing issue.

If Konami and EA could get together and make a game between them it would be sweet! Could you imagine FIFA's graphics and licences and Pro Evo's game mechanics? That would be awesome!
 
Last year I bought pes and it's great. Then I read reviews/comments from people that FIFA had changed greatly and how good the gameplay is this time around. So I bought FIFA a few months later as well. Shite.

Developing great gameplay is harder than pretty graphics. Fecking lazy feckers are Konami.
 
FIFA demo should be released in the next few days for those of you who have xbox live give it a go.
 
Take it from someone who's played FIFA for the last 3 years consistantly, it's gotta be FIFA!

We tried switching to pro evo but it just didn't make the grade. I've found that i'm basically the only person who likes FIFA, in the world... how the hell is it so successful?

marketing, licenses, and presentation via EA sports

gameplay takes a backseat in most gamers minds, but footballers and those with a good feel for the game can't stand FIFA's mechanical and predictable gameplay...thus they opt for PES

I love how people continue to say PES is better without even trying FIFA, i mean none of you have tried either game and are claiming one will be better.

Anyone who has a xbox 360 and played both version this year will no that Fifa was the far better game, it was remade specaily for the 360 and offered a crisp game of football.

The PES on the 360 was complete rubbish lacked many features and the online play was flawed.

ill just get both of the next games and trade in the worst.
 
I've played Fifa for 5 years, and Pro Evo for 3 years.

I've played both on Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox and Xbox 360.

I've found that Pro is better on everything.

I agree it could have been miles better but Fifa..i would rather play American Football.
 
fifa on xbox is indeed great but i still prefer pro evo mainly because i'm more comfortable with it

the graphics on fifa in xbox is pretty stunning

The graphics on 360 will be better then the PS3 version, but I prefer playing pro evo on the ps3 because of the controller.

Do I get Pro Evo for both consoles?

No. Go for the PS3 version - Konami do something to the XBox versions - I find them inferior to the PlayStation versions.
 
I might be inclined to take your advice their Frosty.

I'll download the demo for 360 and if it's not as good as PS3, then I'll leave it.

I think that works.
