Who would you sign for each position?

I feel we need a RB, CB, CM, winger and striker. We may need more than one in certain positions but I was just wondering who everyone would pick if the could only choose one.
Try and pick players we have been linked with. (No Messi's or Suarez's etc)

RB - Clyne
CB - Godin
CM - Pogba
Winger - Depay
Striker - Dybala

I think you'll sign a right back, centre back, centre midfielder and a striker.

If I could pick for you, I'd go Clyne, Concrete Ron, Strootman and Falcao.

RB - N/A
CB - Hummels
CM - Schneiderlin if only one
Wing forward - Fekir
Striker - Dybala

RB - Clyne
CB - Godin
CM -Koke
WNG - Bale
ST - Lacazette

RB - Danilo
CB - Varane/Marquinhos/Laporte
CM - No idea. Pogba I don't view as very realistic..
Winger - Reus/Depay
CF- Lacazette/Dybala

Coleman, godin, pogba, bale, lacazette

Clyne, hummels, Koke, Depay, alcacer.

Either of those, mix and match etc.

RB: Nathaniel Clyne
CB: Diego Godin
CM: Ilkay Gundogan
WG: Gareth Bale
ST: Lucianno Vietto

Dave
Clyne - Godin - Rojo - Shaw
Carrick - Gundogan
Herrera
di Maria - Rooney - Bale

Rb: Clyne
Cb: Hummels/Varane
Cm: Schneiderlin/Veratti (obviously if we can get Pogba or someone like that we should go for it)
Winger: Reus/Depay
Forward: Someone young and quick, don't care much who it is

A lineup of:

DDG
Clyne Hummels Rojo Shaw
Blind
Schneiderlin
Herrera
Di Maria Rooney Depay

Hummels and Rojo are both relatively good on the ball, Clyne and Shaw are both quick and reliable defensively.

Blind would mostly be a holding player, Schneiderlin box to box, Herrera box to box as well but more offensively orientated.

Then two fast wingers on either side of Rooney, buying Depay and getting Nani back will give us some much needed depth in the winger position as well.

I'm hoping this is the sort of setup LVG plans to move to and all of the players I've included are realistic buys.

I don't like Di Maria as a winger. He can do far more damage as a LCM imo. Running centrally or drifting wide.

Buying someone like Schneiderlin should allow di Maria to play LCM if we play with Schneiderlin and Blind as well. I personally just had di Maria out wide because I want Herrera to play and he should offer more defensively.

Thats what id go for.

Clyne
Laporte or Verane
Lars Bender or Carvalho or Verratti (I would say Strootman as a no brainier but he's injured so not likely)
Kevin De Bruyne
Mempis Depay
Paulo Dybala

RB - Gregory Kurtley Van der Wiel
CB - Marcos Aoás Corrêa
DM - Saúl Ñíguez Esclápez
LF - Memphis
RF - Luciano Darío Vietto

Well as far as the damage part goes that can go both ways. He sometimes has the tendency to lose the ball in really bad situations, which imo was also the main reason Ancelotti was willing to let him go despite his great attacking contribution that season. But I guess if we would have two defensively strong midfielders to partner him we could take that risk, just with our current crop it's not going to fly.

It's shocking how many people seem to rate Clyne.

RB- Clyne
CB-Godin
CM-Verrati
Winger-Bale
ST-Lacazette

RB: No one. Promote that Brazilian from the U-21's
CB: Think the manager wants Hummels. My choice would be Godin.
DM: We should break the bank for Pogba. Pogba, Matuidi, Verratti, Schneiderlin should be our list in that order.
WF: Depay seems likely, don't know enough about him to complain so I'll trust LvG on this one.
ST: May not be neccessary. If we play 4-3-3 Rooney, RVP and Wilson is enough for the 1 spot.

RB: I don't know, possibly Danillo.
CB: Hummels/Godin
CM: Pogba/Gundogan
Winger: Depay
Striker: Vietto/Dybala

Not sure about Clyne but otherwise fully agree. Blind instead of Carrick though.

This would be my list, however i would dump RVP and bring in berahino I think if given the chance in a top team he could blossom into a 20 a season striker who contributes a lot to a good style of play.

De Gea
Rafael- Godin-Rojo-Shaw
Pogba-Blind
Di maria---rooney----Depay
Berahino
Mata, Januzaj, Wilson, Carrick, Jones, smalling, valencia, hererra, young is a very good squad.

Not in any particular order, but candidates I'd be happy with...

RB: Clyne, Danilo, Coleman
CB - Godin, Hummels, Laporte, Varane, Stones
DM - Verratti, Pogba (these two are very unrealistic but I can dream), Schneiderlin, Felipe Anderson
Winger - Bale (bit of unrest with the Madrid fans, would still cost a bomb), Memphis, De Bruyne
Striker - Any of Lacazette, Kane, Martinez - Vietto and Dybala looks promising so one of them too.

Did Felipe Anderson play as DM before he moved to playing as a wide forward?

Nein.
