Who would you like to see Suceed Fergie as manager?

None taken.

To diverse slighty from the topic, but still relevant to SAF, some leading bookies in Ireland have cut his odds to 16/1 to replace that bastard MacCarthy. Now I don't think it will materialize, but it would give SAF a chance to stay in football in a less pressurised atmosphere, but perhaps the biggest draw perhaps if you were SAF would be the opportunity to actively pursue his racing career in parallel with his football one- he would be close to A O Brien (trainer of SAF horse Rock of Gibraltar), SAF also has a close relationship with Irish racehorse owner JP MacManus (who also is part of the consortium that holds large shares in United) and of course he would be able to maintain his relationship with Keano and young J O'Shea.

Now as I said I can't see it happening, and when I first heard it I laughed, but if you look at closely it isn't as ridiculous as it first appears.

You were right to laugh. He hated international management when he had Scotland after Jock died

I would go for Gus Hiddink. The man showed his class when he managed one of the top two Spanish clubs, and he has principles. One example - he had the police confiscate racist material and banners from right-wing supporters who were bringing them to games.

I believe Spain`s Primera Liga is a very difficult league in which to manage. Gus Hiddink would find the Premier League a great challenge, too, but it wouldn`t overwhelm him. I like Hitzfeld but as Raoul pointed out, he is a little old, and as others have pointed out, his footballing tactics are too defensive.

Doesn't Gus Hid have a previous history of walking out on clubs, I remember a story about him leaving a dutch club over an argrument, and didn't he walk out on Celtic, albeit after winning the league, but nevertheless he left them in the lurch and it took them a couple of years and managers to get going again.

One manager who a couple of years ago was considered a poss was Cryuff, I know he will not get the job or whether he even wants it, but some of the other names being bandied about are just as unlikely.

I think there should be more mention also of Mr Quiroz, there has been talk that he came to OT to eventually manage the club.

Why? He hasn't done anything yet.

I'd need far more evidence that he's actually doing something constructive.
