Who will we be talking about after the Euros?

Considering France are the strongest side, It will probably end up being mbappe again, I would throw Ronaldo's name in there as well, he has had easy physically due to playing in a third rate league with little intensity and will be fresh compared to most top players at euros and he has a manager that is a yes man to the Portuguese fa who still want ronaldo as their main man.

The Georgia keeper (mamardashvii) who plays for Valencia. Looks a proper top top keeper. Why didn't we sign him (or mike maginon).

The Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Socks rolled down, he would be such a huge fan favourite at Old Trafford. Would get people out of their seats. It's been a very long time since we last had a winger do that.

I don't understand how Griezmann hasnt had an even greater career. I know both Feyenoord and Oranje arent amazing, but he looked completely unplayable in all ties we faced him.

He was France‘s best player at the WC but had a bad final. Mbappe scored two penalties and now the latter is the hero. Griezmann, besides being an idiot, has had a pretty bad timing. His Barca stint was understandable but pointless.

Bad luck, a couple high profile bad games on the biggest stages, horrible decision making in terms of picking teams. Gignac scores and he's the 2016 Ballon D'Or winner. Karius doesn't gift Madrid the CL in 2018 he may well have won that one, too.

I think Ferdi kagliogu , pavlovic , baumgartner , will get moves to bigger clubs and I think spurs might have got in early and signed a future gem in radu dragusin.

Calafiori, Tijani Reijnders, Nico Williams, Yamine Lamal, Bart Verbrugge

I need to see couple of more rounds. But, so far: none in particular stands out. Maybe Lamal and Williams a bit, but let’s see what they do in the KO stage.

That lady the broadcasters seem to keep in a box on her own and they let her out to answer questions on VAR.

She knows her stuff, although I don't think some of the commentators understand her, they say things like "yes..... (whatever her name is)....but I don't think that is how the public/me/my mate next door/Gary Lineker..... will see it, but you are right"..... course she is, she wrote the rules!!

In general we've probably spent more time commenting on the management of certain teams, usually In negative terms, than the players.
Maybe Ronaldo has been debated just as much but similarly in a negative viewpoint.

There's usually 3,4 players that have shown their class in major tournaments consistently but I'm really struggling with this one.
It's been rather flat, minor a few exciting games from the lessor hyped nations.

But, getting back to the thread, we'll all be talking about Southgate.

Guler, Williams, Kadioglu and Calafiori have risen to fame. The latter 3 could be transfered for big money after their good showing at the tournament. I think Yamal was already a known quantity before it even started.

Guler is an interesting one, he doesn't really have a pathway at Madrid, so could also move if big money was on the table you'd imagine.

I think he played on the right side. This is a position which is more a less up for grabs at Madrid, IMO. Moreover he should be really marketable. Maybe a loan is on the table, but i can't see Perez selling him in the near future.

Valverde and Rodrygo both played those most often for Madrid last season. Its possible Valverde moves back into midfield, but with Bellingham, Camavinga and Tchoumeni already in there, you'd imagine Gulers minutes will be massively limited.

Kenan Yildiz. I thought he was mightily impressive against Holland.

He is already quite well known in Italy in fairness. I love how he seems a carbon copy of Federico Chiesa and both play for the same side.
