Who will be our Player of the season?

I hope it will be Antony, Rashford or another offensive player because that usually means that we have scored a lot of goals and won many games. Hopefully top 4, won the Europa League and maybe even a cup. It's also easier to get the attention playing closer to the goal and become a hero of many games by putting the ball to the net. But the best coach of all time once said that "Attack wins you games, defense wins you titles":

Like it looks right now it should be Varane. He has offered a calmness to our defense that i don't think Martinez would alone playing with Maguire or Lindelöf. He is the player that won't be spectacular in any matters really but will lift all his teammates and do the dirty work without the average supporter even notice him or giving him the biggest credit. Because of that, he has also made Eriksen more comfortable playing the deep CM role, he knows that even if the one touch pass up to Bruno might get interrupted from the opponents CMs, that he has a strong defensive line behind him covering up if necessary. I have not seen a defender being this important for us since Ferdinand left. I really hope we can get 4-5 seasons with Varane and that he can stay fit and healthy.

Anyones guess i just hope those currently playing well can keep that form going throughout the season. This time last season many thought Pogba was going to have his best season in a United Jersey..
 
There will be a lot more twists than usual with the World Cup and mad fixture schedule, so who knows what will happen come May. I'm going with a resurgent Harry 'Beckenbauer' Maguire , World Cup winning captain........... what would the odds on that be ? :nervous:

I would tell you to keep your money in your pocket!

Eriksen, Varane and Martinez have been the most consistent so far. Rashford has had a few very good games and been involved in the majority of goals scored so far, perhaps he will be a contender if he keeps the standards up.
 
Sancho or Rashford hopefully, as it would mean we stand a better chance of competing for silverware, once our attack clicks on top of the current defensive foundation
 
Eriksen, Rashford or Antony
Eriksen is indispensable as deep playmaker. Tactically, he is the most important player who is relied upon to handle build up, a chronic problem for us. However, his role in the squad might be diminished if we sign De Jong in winter.

Antony is the only player who provides width on the right. He is a very special player who helps to capitalize overloads on the flanks. Hard to replace, it’s guaranteed he will play. Hope he makes a huge impact.

Rashford. It’s up to him. If he continues to work, make those runs, press, he will produce huge amount of end product.
