Their fans don’t seem to ever complain? I know that they have a decent stadium/youth/scouting setup and they are a selling club but all that aside surely they could still afford to spend 30/40 million a season just on the tv money alone? Those owners are ripping off the fans unless there’s something else important that I’m missing. Imagine supporting a club and knowing you have lots of money coming in, a good manager and good young players but your owners were totally happy with surivuval and selling your best players with almost 0 reinvestment. That would drive me mad
Yeah, it's strange, that's for sure. They have been such a good run club over the years, selling off their best players but normally making things work in the market as well as having excellent youth recruitment. They've got a top manager - and they've had a couple - and yet they seem to be far more financially restrained than just ensuring sustainability. I don't know too much about their ownership though.
Any Southampton supporters on the Caf?
Good, I hope he's reminded of the protests outside of Woodwards house and turns the job down when offered.
Need Glazer stooges far away from positions of influence at the club if we want to get back on our perch
I would have thought that the supporters would take convincing. If there's a slight chance they can appease the supporters a tiny bit, it's by professionalising how the club is run with an eye to a future sale.
