Just get Scamacca in, won’t score as many as Ronnie, but is very good at hold up play and would fit into Ten Hag’s system. If we get Rashford, Bruno and Sancho firing we won’t miss Ronnie’s goals. For the prices quoted he’s good value.

Osimhen would be my choice. Probably cost close to the amount Liverpool just paid for Nunez. But maybe replacing him with an out and out number 9 is not the answer. Possibly a more fluid option would work better with the way the boss wants to play.
I wouldn't say I know him much more than most Serie A watchers because African football is not a standard on which to judge players for Premier League football. He is a good striker when utilized well, and I do rate him, just not as much as others seem to do.
He is one of the best strikers we have had in a while, strong, fast, good hold up play and hardworking, but you could attribute the same qualities to plenty of strikers out there without the same amount of hype, and he seems to miss plenty of games.
I'm generally not overly impressed by players dominating the Serie A, yet his goalscoring record in the league is mostly nothing to write home about which is my main qualms with the amount he would cost. Personally think we should pass.
Maybe we should be looking outside Europe and at some young players that we can make world class.

I agree with you, for the quoted price 80m he's not nearly good enough. But we're not saying we should splash the cash because we think he's world class striker, we're saying we should splash the cash because this is the go to rate for decent forwards in Europe. Raphinha? 10 goals or so a season and his quoted price is 70m euros. Ferran Torres? City's bench warmer and he went for 60m euros. Vlahovic? One good season and 80m euros. Nunez? One good season with quesitonable all round attributes and went for 100m euros. This is the market now. Even the teams with world class sporting directors and scouting departments are shelling off this amount of cash for decent to good strikers. How exactly do you think we're going to get our striker? We're not going to be the club to find some unknown diamond in the rough and nurture him into a world class player, or hell, even a mediocre one. It's not happening with us. We don't have the people and the competence to do it. Our best bet is to go for players with good attributes and performances in Europe, and the only way to do that is to cough up the money.
Osimhen like you said has incredible all round attributes: he's fast, physical (great leap), tall, and he's got good technique. Yes he's not prolific but even if he only scores 15-20 goals in all competitions, he'd be a massive help because his attributes (especially hold up play) will help the team massively. No longer will we have to deal with a massive hole in the opponent's box because our "strikers" are busy playing around in left wing acting as wingers instead. We'll actually have presence in the box. That's a massive help tactically speaking, and "worth" the 80m euros in todays market.

Sancho or Bruno False 9 for some games ala Tadic did a while back. Sancho especially as he’s technically great and would allow for runners off him. Sigh Antony and have Rashy or Martial off the wing with Bruno/Eriksen supporting would be solid.

We need pacy wide attackers to make it work so, we need to look at guys like Antony, Diaby, Cody Gakpo etc to add to Martial, Rashford, Amad and Elanga. We need two rather than one now.

Good lord the striker market is deadDepends really as I doubt ten hag wants and out and out striker and would be looking to evolve the side's attack to be a more fluid one, there is the likes of Jonathan David or Joao felix that can fit that mould.
Another potentially good short term cheap solution could be raul jimenez of wolves, he has the flexibility to be more involved in the build up of attacks to suit a more fluid ten hag attacking set up and wolves are basically run by the same agent that ronaldo has.
Ronaldo to PSG, Neymar to UTD. Win win situation for both clubs and maybe make us a bit more attractive in the South American market where there seems to be loads of value but we never seem to make the most. PSG get to be the first team to have Ronaldo and Messi in the same team.
I for one would be buzzing going to OT every week watching Neymar! He epitomises entertainment but also would take our attack to another level particularly against our Kryptonite, the low block at Old Trafford where we really really struggle.

Depends, it's all relative for me. If he is a player who doesn't offer that much in the buildup, then I want his goalscoring record to be very good as far as he would run the channels and offer a presence in the box.
But even without a great goalscoring record, I'm comfortable with one would offer plenty to our all round game. My first choice would be Joao Felix if we are looking to spend big.

Duvan Zapata is better in my opinion. If Ronaldo really goes, I'd move for him and since this is the hijacking window I'd try to hijack Dybala on a free as well. Seems affordable for Man United and provides several tactical options. These players for sure will be keen to join.
Let’s be honest no way are the board giving us more money. Budgets are budgets, best guess we had 120-150m . So that leaves us with around 60m to spend on remaining positions.
I like the Zupata shout. He is a handful and one we could realistically get.
If Barca feck up the FDJ deal which I can't see it happening most coming out imo is a lot of smoke without a fire. I'd go all out and try to swap for Lewandoski with Bayern. It's a long shot as he wants like Ronny UCL.

Utd don't necessarily need a 25/30 goal a season forward in as a direct replacement. Someone who could have the same effect as Firmino did for Liverpool, not a huge scorer, but an excellent all rounder who elevates others, would be an interesting direction to take.

Neymar would be another Pogba situation. Turns up when he wants and just here for a pay day. I doubt he’d consider playing Europa League either.
If you want to go back to a free flowing front 3 then Nkunku seems the best bet on paper.

Players like Schick, Lautaro Martinez, Osimhen, Nkunku and Joao Felix will be too expensive for us this summer. Then there's Isak and Abraham that are just below that price bracket. Still too expensive i reckon. Players like David, Gouiri or Ekitike might be outside bets, don't know enough about them. I'm biased but i'd like us to get Scamacca. He'd be around £40m.

The price i've seen touted in the media the last months has been €40m-€50m. No way will he cost £60m. The heavy link to PSG and the recent soft links with Atletico and Chelsea might drive the price up to £45m-£50m. Not more than that.
