Who is your preferred next owner of Manchester United?

Ain't nothing to do with that. Just pointless creating a poll now when more options are coming out like this:

We'll put a poll up when the options are known - zero point in putting up a poll which gets 500 votes only for more bidders to be public in a couple of days and we'll end up with calls for the poll to start over again.

Yea and its pointless finally putting a poll up once you're reasonably confident no more bids come in when it could be all done and dusted by then, who knows. A poll with-

Qatar
Ineos
US Consortia
Saudi
Elliot

Would be a good start.

Buying a match ticket off of said person is no worse than sponsoring their economy with tourism.
Al Thani is not Qatar, just like Putin is not Russia. I’m not going to Qatar any time soon, but saying that is like saying that sponsoring Ttumps presidential campaign is no worse than buying a ticket at the New York metro. Everything is not like everything.

True, but don‘t kid yourself about Qatar. It is a tiny country. Anyone with huge funds there is tied to the State.

There are too many reasons to not go with the Qataris.

-We will likely run into ffp trouble, since every Qatari owned club has done that
-Bad for our reputation to be associated with repressive homophobic human trafficking scum
-Will make statement signings that Ten Hag doesn‘t want
-Will get rid of Ten Hag after statement signings don‘t get into the team

Only point two is actually true whereas the other three points you are just guessing

I'd encourage anyone to read this - Ronay makes a lot of good points about potential Qatari ownership. It's hard to think of a worse example of a club I would want us to be like than PSG.

Why don't they do a similar one for INEOS. Like for example how brother bobby was appointed head of sports, how Schmeichel turned to training overweight, the fact that Ramsey went AWOL and the mess surrounding the Ross Barkley deal who ended up not being registered to the Europa Conference league because he was signed too late? I am sure that the French guys can give you more information then I do.

Maybe Guardian can ask PSG fans and NICE fans if they would love to switch owners.

Do you mean the statement signings, cause that’s my biggest fear. Could go two ways I guess, like City getting the right personal but could go the psg route, and as the wise and old Jamie Carragher once said, it’s just a bunch of expensive players not a team

Nope the one about country's human rights,in regards to statement signings I believe they get it right after learning from mistakes made at PSG.

I don't want to be owned by the Qataris but if it's that or Brexit pirate Jim Ratcliffe and that bloody lunatic Dave Brailsford (living in a caravan by Nice's training ground or something?) then it's a no brainer.

Would be fully team Ratcliffe IF either Qatar weren't interested or he wasn't worried about making a ROI

Jim, just because I think Qatar owners will interfere with football things and undermine manager just to buy fancy new toys for the sake of it. Feck that.

Honestly think they have learnt from PSG mistakes, look at the fact their strategy has changed to buying young French players

From what I gather about Ratcliffe's bid he has just about mustered enough financing to buy out the Glazers and leave all other shareholders holding their dick. Doesn't bode well for financial muscle or flexibility to make required infrastructure investments.

Stinks a bit of Glazers 2.0 except the Glazers saddled the club with enough debt to buy it for a fraction of what this transaction requires (800: vs 5,000: ).

Somewhere (don't care much for the technicality of where) there's more debt servicing involved in this than what we have carried over the last 18 years. That can't be a good thing.

As thing stand

Qatar> Jimmy > Glazers > Putin > Steve G > Eliott

Socialist revolution where the people of Manchester take the team.

Not Qatar or anyone else that will use us as their plaything

We're on track to to that anyway despite having the fecking glazers in charge. We don't need a sugar daddy. Just someone who puts the right people in place and leaves ten hag do what he is doing.

Last thing we need is someone coming in and buying loads of big name players we don't need (and ten hag doesnt want) because they want to have shiny new toys to show off. It will happen. It's the only reason Qatar want to buy us. Big name players to act as ambassadors for Qatar.

This

Qatar bid is for PR and sportswashing. Yes it is probably the best deal financially, but at what costs?

It seems pretty impossible to have considerable funds there without the acceptance of the monarch. As I understand, alternative families and tribes have been marginalized and even persecuted. And that is just among the small part of the inhabitants that are afforded civic rights.

Hey, I just posted the article and said it was worth a read. PSG are a fecking joke of a club, so we'd better hope that the Qatari's have learnt some serious lessons. Also, if we're having a shit-off I think I'd rather have shit owners from Manchester, than shit owners from Qatar. And that's without even getting into the human-rights stuff.

In this time and age, accepting a bid from Qatar is just not done. We are the biggest club in the world and we are not going to throw women and our gay brethren and sisters under the bus.

Besides that, if you look at PSG you‘d realize quickly what we could become under their ownership. A couple of washed up star signings would undermine Ten Hag‘s discipline and he would be out the door to Bayern.

We haven't been successful for nearly a decade, and we have been even a laughing stock in football world in recent years. We only started to improve with ETH, but with signings like Weghorst or Sabitzer we won't get to the level of City, Real Madrid, PSG anytime soon, we will be only fighting for top 4 spots or domestic/2nd rated cup.

Like I said, I don’t care. Winning because you are bank rolled by sports washers does really mean much

Frankly, I don't give a toss! As long as he/they want the best for United (like the Man City owners), that's all I care.

This political, moral, ethical crap is crap! No one is whiter than white!!!
