Who is the coolest villain?

Good shout on your first two:D

I suppose you can't get much cooler than her then:
The BOSS (MGS3)

He's a good one, but his arc in the Sopranos was too short, begs the question could you put Tony in as the ultimate villian, I'd say he is more of an anti-hero than villian though; I reckon Leotardo was the best villain in the show though

Yeah 1 season wasnt enough of Richie, could have been a great battle between those two.

I agree Tony is more anti-hero than villan, but he got more dislikable from season 5 onwards. Phil was great though, and he went out great too, his head run over in a gas station:lol:

Yeah the show really changed after the fifth season, the last two seasons were very much plot driven as opposed to the character development that happened in teh first five, more shit happened in the last 25 episodes(end of season 5 till 7) than in the rest of the show combined, not saying it was a bad thing, but the dynamics changed and so did the characters. I don't know about finding Tony unlikeable as it went on, I actually thought he showed some redeeming qualities towards the end, like saving AJ and holding his family together, and in the end he was the last man standing. He also tried to stop the war with NY and also avoided killing Vito. Probably my favorite television character of all time, hell how could you not like someone who uses 'motherfecker' in every episode

True, Tony did kinda mellow in the later season after his 'death' but he still did certain things that were pure evil, like killing his own nephew in 'mercy' where as in fact he just wanted the monkey of his back. My 2nd all time favorite character on TV, 2nd to only this fella

The Joker, hands down. He has no superpowers, but is the epitome of evil and everything wrong. I remember one of the comics said that Joker's real power is that he has some sort of "super sanity", whereas he actually isn't insane at all, which just makes his ideology and motives even more thought out and meticulous. The Dark Knight did justice to his character's storyline better than any other villian that started in books/comics.

Darth Vader comes in a very close second, only because he was a pussy and didn't take the Emperor himself.

Paulie Walnuts is fecking class, spent time in jail a decent chunk in real life, played his part to a t, and actually is the only one standing beside Tony at the end.

You are forgetting that he tried to betray Tony to Johnny?

He didn't kill him in mercy, he just killed him.

Al Pacino in the Devil's Advocate, was a big fan of that performance.
Gary Oldham in Dracula was good too.
Darth Sidius (the emperor) was a well thought out one too. His ascension was well played out too. Darth Maul was cool, but maybe that just the spikes on his head.
Agree with the bit about the Joker, but the other ones just seem, cooler.
