I’m sort of out of the loop.

Varane is definitely off. That’s been confirmed. Who else is out of contract?

Is Amrabat definitely off? Or can we sign him?

Do Eriksen, Evans, Heaton or anyone else have contract expiring?

I could google this but I can’t find the right words at the moment.
 
Martial is out of contract and is obviously leaving.

Amrabat's loan is over. We can try and keep him if we want.

Eriksen has another year I believe, though he'll probably want to go. Evan's's contract is up and his future his up in the air
 
Martial’s contract is up, also Evans’, Eriksen’s and Heaton’s. They will all leave.

Amrabat probably won’t be signed after his loan spell.

can’t see many others leaving with Europa next year. Eriksen might flourish there.
 
Today did feel like an end, not just for the manager but for a lot of players- at least it was on a high note against our city rivals with a great performance.

Varane and Martial are confirmed going but i'd say Eriksen, Amrabat, AwB, Casemiro, Evans are probably certainties to leave, Antony maybe if EtH goes. Rashford is an interesting one but I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed. Lindelof too maybe?

Maguire and McTominay were allowed to leave last summer. Maybe they'll go this time but again, like Rashford, i'm not sure i'd be all that surprised if the new manager wanted them. We're also in Europe so a bigger squad needed.

Pretty sure he was complaining about not being selected enough- and his performance vs Crystal Palace kind of demonstrated why he wasn't starting. The Europa League is a good point though, the games probably won't be as intense for him as the league matches.
 
Lindelof has been put on the transfer market no? Nows also the time to cash in on McTominay if a decent offer arrives. AWB could get moved on too.

Casemiro is 100% out. Sancho/Greenwood too.

Nah. He’s put in like 3 good performances in a row but we can’t forget the rest of the season. Even in these good games he has only shown commitment and desire. He’s not good enough on the ball.

He’s also gonna cost us £20m
 
I would definitely keep Evans. I doubt he's costing us much in wages, and with better luck with injuries and signings he shouldn't be more than 4th/5th choice, and in my opinion he has done decent enough this season to be able to fill that gap. That is unless we have a promising young CB in the youth team who we can give those minutes to instead. Not sure what the plan is with Willy.

I would happily take him and a young upcoming DM. With Casimero going we need two in that position. Mainoo is definitely a number 8. I think Amrabat can be a squad player.

I imagine Heaton and Evans may be offered the chance to do their badges at Utd. Evans being an actual 5th place option that barely plays as I imagine we will sign 2 centre backs.
 
The only certainties are:
Varane
Martial

They are out of contract. Beyond that we need players to want to leave, or be able to sell them. We are traditionally very poor at selling players on due to the ridiculous salaries we have them on.

Erikson will leave - he doesn’t play and is past it. Even though he has a year left on his contract I’m sure we will let him go for free.

Casimero - he has a big contract and a few years but don’t think he will want to stay around after criticism this season. Only Saudi option though on his salary.

All the others are going to be more difficult. Manager plays a big part…..
 
It would do my fecking head in if we keep Eriksen. I’d rather pay for Amrabat and I don’t think he’s good enough either.
 
Did we ever consider to keep Varane but on lower wages? Still a better player than Maguire or Lindelöf when fit.

Who knows, we may of, we may not of. It's a bit like we will never know what really happened with De Gea...
 
We might keep AWB if Dalot is the player to cover for Shaw. We might not afford a new full back considering we need to buy a RCB, DCM and a striker.

He was dropped from the England squad, then days later wins with his boyhood club against his local rivals in the FA Cup at Wembley at probably the biggest game of his career. Why wouldn't he be very emotional?

Yes we did but I don’t think it got much further than gauging his interest in staying for less and being told where to stick it.

With him off and Evans likely gone too I think we will probably retain Maguire as a backup. We will at best sign two CBs and probably only 1 so we will need some depth and I am sure Lindelof will be easier to move due to lower wages and also less likely to dig in his heels like Harry did.

Given that you'll only ever swap out 4 big players per season then I can only see one other major change, if that.
Perhaps Sancho out also.

We don't have the cash or the ability to sell players to overhaul the squad in one window, and definitely nothing like the long lists being mooted by journalists.

We need to be realistic and get in 4 good quality players to replace the 4 above.

I would hate to see too many leave, I do really like this group. But I think you could afford to let Lindelof, Evans and Eriksen go without a lot of monies lost. Players like Willy, Mount, Anad and Mainoo will be in the squad right away next year.
 
If EtH stays, I can see him pushing for Amrabat. Whether SJR & co agree is a different story... If he maintains yesterday's form, he'll be a good squad player but not at £22m.

Martial, Varane and Brandon are certain to leave. Mason as well, just hope we find a buyer.

Hopefully Evans or Heaton take the Huddlestone role. Evans can be given the odd minutes in the 1st team where required.

Casemiro, Sancho, Lindelof, AWB, Eriksen, Pellistri are players that we should look at offloading. I would add MCT, Harry, Antony to that list but doubt we'll find a buyer for the latter and we don't have enough money to replace all the former given the other areas that need reinforcement.

Lastly, Rashford is another that I would sell but can't see SJR doing that just yet.
 
Probably sell one of H. Maguire or lindelof. Harry would probably bring in more money.
Wan Bissaka only if a good offer came in as he would be more expensive to replace and does bring in excellent one v one qualities.
Sancho and Greenwood will probably bring in decent fees
Mctominey also.
Erickson and Casemiro to leave on a free.
Pellistri for a small fee and resale clause.

For a back up dm, that's not bad, for most of the season we have been awful in leaving our defensive midfielders completely exposed by themselves in midfield, we saw yesterday with a proper stable midfield in the middle of the pitch that he can do his job well in that position

I do hope so. Aside from the magnificent cross leading to the second goal yesterday, he was otherwise his usual wasteful self.

Anybody know if we'll be offloading Pellistri or will he be back off loan? He was looking very promising at one time.
