Ronaldo because he can control the ball immaculately while moving at great speed, which is an asset that I don't see from anyone else in the prem. Messi can do it too. What Scholes and Fabregas do is not so rare because they play at a slower pace.

It's Scholes for me... the way he manages to create space for himself with his first touch is sometimes amazing.

Currently, I'd have to say Messi. The ball's just a magnet to his foot, unbelievable ability.
Ronaldinho has, hands down, the best close control and touch of any player playing the game today. shite fitness nowadays, but his technique and skill and strength on the ball is leagues ahead of anyone else out there.
Messi has got nothing on him in that respect. and when at the top of his game some three or four seasons ago, he was vastly superior to anything Messi can do now.

Nani or Scholes usually have immediate control over the ball. I'm also suprised not to see much names like Giggs, Ronaldinho, Del Piero, Ibrahimovic etc

Sticking to players that haven't been mentioned, Roberto Baggio's ball control was among the best I've ever seen. Pablo Aimar's touch was absolutely sublime at his short peak. David Villa is extremely impressive at bringing the ball under control and making space for himself with his first touch.

He was amazing at that. Needed only a fraction of second to fully control it, and made use of it quickly. It looked as if no matter how you played it to him, he'd control it with ease with his first touch.

The best atm are probably Berbatov, Messi, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Zlatan. Then you've got the likes of Xavi, Scholes, Pirlo, Riquelme, De Rossi and Fabregas who can both control it and pass it to anywhere on the pitch.
yeah, Ronaldinho at his best was in a different class. Both Messi and Ronaldo could learn a thing or two from Goofy at his peak, but they've got time on their side and if they improve in the same fashion, they'd eclipse Ronaldinho in the next few years.

no they're not, in his first three seasons with Barca goofy was something else. it is interesting though that he led barca to back to back titles and a european cup just like our ronnie!
All the names mentioned are all great shouts no doubt. But NONE of them could dribble with great control moving at the pace that our Ronaldo does. Ive never seen anything like it. Its like he is faster with the ball at his feet. Maradona could dribble with pace but he just couldnt cover as much ground as Ronaldo. Physically no body can match him in that department. Which is why he is best suited for the Premier League. In a way, English league football has shaped the way the best player in the world plays.
the best first touch of all current players is still Henry. his goal at the Euros this summer is all the evidence needed. pure class with barely a touch on the ball.
