I think Keane would influence more games over a season than Eric but how do you leave the King out.
For a one off game Cantona, if you are building a team for the long haul then its Keano all the way IMO.

For me it's an impossible choice. Having them both at the height of their powers would make this side a Juggernaut. The combined will to win of Keane, Cantona, and Rooney would be awe inspiring.
Cantona for me.He's was far more influential than Keano.Brought to the club what was missing at the time...magic.

Still Keane for me. Build a team up the spine, and Keane would be the first piece of the jigsaw.
I guess I can see what you say in the difference between the two, but so often Cantona was a bit like the recent Ronaldo, when it mattered they were the difference either late on in a tied match, or in a blow out before the match started; Keane probably was more important for most of the game, but the otherside worried about Cantona.

but its eric for me. great admiration for keano, but theres only one king. maybe you could have compared like for like in terms of arrogance - cantona v ronaldo, who both had the same amount of time at the club really and both left early.
maybe keano v scholsey would be better, evra v irwin, beckham v giggs, hughes v rooney.vidic v brucey and rio v pally.

What did Keano do, became critical of half the squad and then ran off. Not even a fair comparison between the two, really.
Cantona, although I've probably been swayed slightly by Keane's attitude since he left, its sort of swung things in Eric's favour.
