in the CL Quarters ?

Deportivo for me please! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> </strong><hr></blockquote>
They know too what we are about.
Don't forget that the day Fab made those silly mistakes, he ALSO made several outstanding saves, so this game was not easy at all for us.
Panathinaikos would be the easiest team to beat IMO.

He cost us nothing at that game because eventually we went through. It's history now. It's not because he made some mistakes that we can't say he also made some good saves.
And he has played his part in our qualification for the quarters.

Anyone with one eye could recognize that he cost us at least one point that night. Half of this site wanted him sacked FFS.
He's done relatively well since then, but he was culpable on that night.

It cost us three, the goalkeeper acting like a clown, and a defender called Wes Brown!
Ok, he made good saves that night, and he would have been praised to hell if he and his sidekick had not made two major gaffs! <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />
In the past yes, but we should really have got 1 point away and three at home. We can beat Deportivo! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Culpable, culpable, I suppose you never made a mistake in your life ? Those who wanted to sack him are stupid, happily Fergie is more clever and know you can't judge a player on a few games.

C'mon Elfie, just admit it. Fab made some critical mistakes that night. Don't be another 007. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Why when a keeper misses a pass, he is called a clown, and not a midfielder who misses a pass or a striker who sends a ball 10 metres above the bar ?

Nowt to do with it! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />
I really think they would be the better opponents to have at this stage!
Remember 1999 - Inter and then Juve, where as all the fear come from all of a sudden?
And as for those voting to get the Poo, good god, let them have a major European team and they will be out of it! Let's wait until next season to sort them out in the league! Even if they do get past the QFs, we can stuff them then, but I want us to play the best in Europe, not a team 60 miles down the M62! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />
Bring on Deportivo! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Who cares now, as we went through ?
If Fab read what's written on forums, he would be digusted and I don't think he would praise the supporters anymore.
And to compare some errors with the rape of a little girl is just stupid.

That night he acted like a clown twice! Simple! I love the guy to bits, but I am objective enough to say that he is not superhuman and made a right cockup that night (he lost his concentration). Unlike yourself who is being totally subjective right now and defending him no matter what, probably due to some strange female emotion you might towards him!

am i talking to fabien or am i talking to you?
how would you feel if fabien fecked up for france, like he did for us, and if france lost the world cup semi cos of it?
admit it, we lost the game cos of him and he was a major reason for our poor form early in the season ...
hes our keeper, ill support him, but ill criticize him when he fecks up and costs us games

I've become a fan of him not because I said to myself "oh, how sexy he is !" but because I do love the way he plays, the risks he takes (and in the past, it worked) and his personality on the pitch.
Anyway he must be the most criticized player here so he can have someone to defend him.

i dont like goalies or defenders that take risks
i must admit i usually piss myself laughing when it works, but i wouldnt mind having a less controversial keeper

I would be the saddest person on earth but I would still support him, because I wouldn't forget what he has done previously .
I'm not obsessed with results, victory. I want to see a good show.
Fabien's problem was not his football, but his head. He lost his concentration because he had personal problems, this is why I don't want to blame him. Ferguson knew that.

Sounds like you're blaming Fergie for Barthez's gaffs on the pitch. <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" /> <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

It's a totally different issue, but, well, yes, rat up a drain pipe is the phrase that comes to mind!
