Which season has been your favorite since the Fergie era?

Yea, has to be this one.

A cup, top 4, another final and a good run in the Europa.

More importantly, its the first time I actually feel like we are a competitive team and not about to fall off a cliff.

16/17 and this season. The rest were fairly meh, but we had some fun at times under Ole, at least.

This one. Top 4 and a trophy, not been done since Fergie retired. Possibly 2 trophies as well.

Undoubtedly this season, followed by Ole's 2nd place finish and then Jose winning Europa League

This season and LVG with the kids. Unrelated to trophies or league position because they are not won till past half way of the season. That I’ll class under satisfaction.

These two stand out because it felt like we know what the guy on the touch line is working on. Obviously with LVG fans have an opinion of what they think of it or what he was doing but it’s there for it be seen translated by the players.
ETH is also very transparent in how he wants to play. Personnel might hinder him at times and he is had to deviate from it but the core pillars are always visible.
The periods between I could not wait for the manager to get fired because they never fit into how I consume football. Just like how 95/96 and 05/06 were my favourite seasons under SAF.

I guess this one but in general I haven’t liked any of our seasons since Fergie but I like ten Hag and most newcomers look very good so I’m more optimistic this time.

16/17 had some nice moments, mostly the zlatan-pogba connection, but that didn't last long. and most of the cup games were dull/lucky, and except city, all against average teams. Apart from the trophies, definitely should be nowhere near these lists.

This one (Barca over 2 legs, that Liverpool win after starting 0-0-2, Arsenal and City at home, strong runs in all the cups, Martinez, Casemiro) is the clear favourite. Shocking away record, especially against the big teams - maybe the season with the biggest difference between good and bad form?

Fun football for parts of 14/15, 17/18, 19/20. Some good games including against big teams in them. 14/15 had the liverpool double including juanfield, 3-0 spurs, 4-0 qpr, 4-2 city. 17/18 had a few 4-0s to start the season, the ridiculous title-denying 2-3 vs City's best team ever, and Herrera's hatchet job on Hazard. 19/20 had the double over city, 4-0 Chelsea, and that smooth lockdown football.
Even small bits of 18/19 (Ole's 3 months) and 20/21 (Spurs, Milan, Roma) were good. And liked watching Martial and Rashford emerge in 15/16. Smalling and Blind, world-class CB pairing

Moyes and last season had zero redeeming features.

Leicesters title winning season. Been painful watching city and Liverpool fight for our title for basically the last decade

Ole's first full season and a half before covid were epic, that Manchester Derby before lockdown OT was rocking until this season that is but even under Ole when we went away from home I had a lot more optimism than I have this year, but this year the home form has been electric I've only watched one home loss this season which has been great so those 2 times for sure, under LvG and Jose going to matches always seemed like a bit of a chore

This has been the most promising. But Zlatan and Mourinho as a combo was my favourite after Ferguson.

Definitely this one because I've felt the most attached to the manager and his long term 'project'.

While hoping for success, I never felt Moyes, Mourinho and Van Gaal were suited to United and didn't think they'd be here for long. I did expect some trophies under Mourinho - before the inevitable fall out - and the two trophies under him in 2016/17 was my 2nd favourite season as I was at least confident that we might win things (as we did) in the short term. And it was great to see Zlatan scoring goals and helping us win trophies. But even at the time I knew it would soon inevitably start going wrong under Jose and that he'd be gone.

So for the full package - chances of winning trophies short term and building something for a longer term project - ETH is the first manager we've had since Fergie that's given me that hope. And so I've really enjoyed this first season, where he has delivered results short term while also building a basis for the long term.

1. This season.
2. Bruno bounce (half season).
3. Ole bounce (half season).
4. The rest.

16/17 - Jose, Pogback, Zlatan, then some decent football for a bit, followed by some mediocre football, then finally limping over the line to win a couple of trophies. Felt like we were on the way back, even if we were way off in the league. Even so, it felt like we had a bit of that aura back, and there’s something about that season with winning the Europa and having Zlatan up top, I just look back on it fondly. Maybe because it was so short term I appreciated it more at the time.

Ole taking us to second was pretty cool, with a young team and we played some decent stuff at times. It just felt a bit like his caretaker stint - that it wasn’t really sustainable, or likely to go anywhere long term.

I’ve enjoyed this season more than most in the post Fergie era, but it’s still been a slog at times. Still yet to see us play the way Ten Hag wants, but with 3 games a week, a striker with 0 league goals and the endless off-field stuff he’s had to deal with it’s a miracle we’ve done as well as we have. If we beat city it might go above 16/17, in fact it probably should - after all its the first time we’ve combined top 4 with a trophy - if we get pumped though it’ll end on a bit of a downer.

17/18

My thinking was, if Mourinho can get 80+ points with that squad, imagine what he can do once he brings a few more players in.

Sadly, he was not backed and the rest is history.

Exactly this.

The two trophies in 2016/17 were nice, but I can't say I enjoyed the entire season because just like you said, there were plenty of signs (even as early as then) that Mourinho was going to do his usual implosion and leave us worse off than when he joined. This was almost certain around the halfway mark of 2017/18, and confirmed after the debacle against Sevilla. That 2018 FA Cup final remains the only time in 20 years that I've ever intentionally sacked off one of our games - I went to play football myself instead because I knew my 6-a-side team would be more watchable than us.

My second-favourite would be 2020/21 - never really rated Ole as a coach, but we were at the very least fun to watch in spells that season and there were a lot of memorable games - beating City at the Etihad again, the win in Paris, ripping Leipzig apart, smashing 9 past Southampton and 6 past Leeds, scoring bucketloads against Roma. Much better football than any of the managers before him ever produced.

This season overall feels more like Man Utd than others. Professional coach, some very likable players and getting to/winnibn cup finals and finishing 3rd in the league. Feels a bit like a Rebuild season under Sir Alex.

Other than that I was a complete sucker for the initial "Ole at the wheel" stuff. His first couple of months may have been the most enjoyable since Sir Alex. Felt like a fever dream but one I was happy to get lost in after the end of Jose.

Definitely this one. Feels like we have a plan and style of football at last.

I have some great memories of 16/17, where we played some genuinely excellent football but just had too many draws due to not finishing our chances. However it really has to be this one even if we lose the FA Cup final; the trajectory is very clearly upwards.
